Mazanec leads the Predators onto the ice for warmups.

Mazanec allowed two goals on 28 shots in a 3-2 win over the Kings on Saturday. It was his first win in over a month and his sixth of the season. Tonight he will make his second start against the Red Wings this season. In the first meeting he stopped all 27 shots that Detroit threw his way en route to a 2-0 win.

Marek Mazanec
Corrado in; Andrew Alberts out.

Corrado, 20, has five points in 29 games with the American Hockey League’s Utica Comets and is minus-2 with 20 penalty minutes and 43 shots on goal. He was the Canucks' fifth round pick in 2011 NHL entry draft.

Frank Corrado
P.A. Parenteau expected out 6 weeks with 2nd degree MCL sprain, left knee.

Parenteau was injured on Sunday night and will be out until mid-February. The Avalanche could make a roster move in the next 24 hours, but for now expect Brad Malone to slide into the lineup and Jamie McGinn to see increased minutes.

P.A. Parenteau
Berra will make the start for the Flames on Tuesday.

Berra stopped 28 of 30 shots in a 2-0 loss to the Canucks on Sunday. It was another strong performance from Berra, who has posted a 1.84 GAA and .938 SV% in December, but that has only lead to two wins in six starts. Tonight he will take on the Flyers at home, he is 2-6-2 in Calgary.

Reto Berra
Mason will start.

Mason allowed three goals on just 16 shots in a 4-3 win over the Oilers on Saturday. It wasn't the prettiest performance for the Flyers netminder but it was enough to earn his fourth consecutive victory and 15th of the season. Tonight he'll take on the Canucks for the second time this season. He allowed three goals in a 3-2 loss in the first meeting.

Steve Mason
Backes (upper-body) skated on Monday.

Backes missed Sunday's game in Dallas but was on the ice for Blues practice today. He has missed three of the last six games with an upper-body ailment. The Blues are back in action on Tuesday, monitor Backes' status following the morning skate.

David Backes
Jones is the Kings projected starter.

Jones finally looked human last Monday when the Stars tallied four goals on 23 shots to beat the Kings 5-2. It was the first loss of his NHL career and the first time he has allowed more than two goals. He is expected to take on the Blackhawks in Chicago tonight, he is 4-0-0 with a 1.23 GAA and .964 SV% on the road.

Martin Jones
Lack is expected to start for the Canucks.

Lack stopped all 18 shots he faced vs. Calgary last night, to post his second shutout of the season. Lack has been excellent in his first NHL season registering a 7-2-0 record with a 1.74 GAA and .933 SV% in eight starts and 12 appearances. He will likely face the Flyers at home tonight, he is 2-0-0 in Vancouver.

Eddie Lack
Lundqvist starts on Tuesday vs. the Panthers.

Lundqvist made his return to the net on Sunday and stopped 37 of 40 shots in a 4-3 win over the Lightning. He looked sharp after sitting the previous three games. 'King Henrik' draws a solid matchup today when he takes on the Panthers. He is 2-0-0 with a 2.50 GAA and .917 SV% in two starts vs. Florida this year.

Henrik Lundqvist
Roberto Luongo out working with Rollie Melanson and looking fine doing crease movement patterns before shots.

Luongo has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury suffered on December 22. He is not expected to be out long-term and could play in one of the Canucks two games this weekend.

Roberto Luongo
Doan (illness) is at Coyotes practice for the first time since falling ill.

Doan has missed the last 10 games with a form of Rocky Mountain Fever. His return appears to be on the horizon, which would be huge for the Coyotes. Doan was on-fire before getting sick and has a total of 12 goals and 23 points in 27 games. Consider him questionable for Tuesday.

The Wild have recalled Jonathon Blum from Iowa (AHL).

The blueliner has 16 points (3G / 13A) in 29 games in Iowa this season. The Wild signed him as a free agent this summer. Blum collected seven points (1G / 6A) and six penalty minutes in 35 games with the Nashville Predators last season.

Jonathon Blum
Franzen (concussion) skated with the Red WIngs for the first time since being injured.

Franzen will miss his sixth straight game tonight after being concussed on December 15. It is a good sing that he was on the ice this morning, but he seems doubtful to be ready for the Winter Classic.

Johan Franzen
Helm (shoulder) will play tonight in Nashville.

Helm missed the last 11 games with a shoulder injury that he suffered in early December. This is a huge boost for a Red Wings team who are starting to get healthy right before the Winter Classic. We will see if Helm can pick up where he left off, he scored seven goals and had 10 points in 15 games. He will centre the third line with Justin Abdelkader and Tomas Jurco on his wings.

Darren Helm
Howard starts for the Red Wings after missing three weeks with a knee injury.

Howard has not started a game since December 10 because of a knee sprain. He made a speedy recovery and will be in net tonight in Nashville. The first half of the season has not been too kind to Howard. He is 6-8-7 with a 2.66 GAA and .910 SV% in 21 starts. He will take on a Nashville team who he was 3-0-0 with a 1.26 GAA and .952 SV% against last season.

Jimmy Howard
Semin has been moved onto the Hurricanes top-line with Eric Staal and Jeff Skinner.

Semin has a goal and four assists in seven games since returning to the lineup after a concussion. Staal and Skinner have both played well lately as well, so this is a line the should generate some serious offence for the Hurricanes.
