Wings coach Mike Babcock confirms Guatavsson will start tonight against Florida.

Gustavsson only saw 11 shots - stopping 10 of them in a 3-1 win over the Devils on Friday night. Yeah, you read that right… 11 shots on goal in 60-minutes. It is safe to say that Gustavsson should not be fatigued tonight and is in-line to be a great spot-start option again with the Red Wings welcoming the Panthers to town.

Lightning head coach Jon Cooper says Anders Lindback will start in goal

Lindback allowed two goals on 21 shots in a win over the Flyers on November 27. It was just his second win in six starts but moved his GAA and SV% to a slightly more respectable 3.26 and .876. He will get the call tonight against the Jets.

Anders Lindback
Mason starts vs. Dallas.

Mason gave up two goals on 34 shots in a win over the Red Wings on Wednesday. It was his third straight win and his 10th of the season. He is still yet to allow more than three goals in all 26 starts as a Flyer. He goes this afternoon against a Stars team who rank 12th in the NHL in scoring (2.70 G/PG).

Steve Mason
Seems Lindback in net tonight vs. Jets.

Lindback allowed two goals on 21 shots in a win over the Flyers on November 27. It was just his second win in six starts but moved his GAA and SV% to a slightly more respectable 3.26 and .876. It looks like he will get the call tonight against the Jets.

Anders Lindback
Wey will make his NHL debut tonight.

Wey was the 115th overall pick in 2009 and started the season in the ECHL. After moving to the AHL he posted a goal and two assists in seven games. The Capitals like that Wey is a right handed shot on a blueline filled with lefties. He will start with Dmitry Orlov as his D-partner tonight.

Gustavsson appears to be getting the start tonight vs. Florida.

Detroit Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk will return to the lineup Tuesday in Florida, general manager Ken Holland said.

Datsyuk will have missed seven games due to a concussion suffered November 23 on an elbow to the chin from Ottawa defenseman Jared Cowen. Datsyuk has skated a few times this week and said on Wednesday that he is symptom-free. He just needed a few good practices to get his conditioning back. Barring something unforeseen, Saturday’s home game against Florida will the final game he sits out. Datsyuk has a team-leading 12 goals, along with 11 assists, in 24 games.

Pavel Datsyuk
Weber made the trip to Washington with teammates on Friday afternoon and could return to action against the Capitals Saturday after a three-game absence.

“Today was a good day,” said Weber, who suffered the injury in a 3-0 loss to Edmonton on Thanksgiving night. “It was good to be back out there with the guys and skate with them and hopefully move forward going ahead this week.” Weber’s playing status will be determined this morning, coach Barry Trotz said. “When he gets up in the morning and we can do our meetings and all, I’m sure I’ll know at that point,” he said.

Shea Weber
Price starts vs. Buffalo.

Price allowed one goal on 33 shots in a win over the Bruins on Thursday. It was his sixth consecutive win and the ninth straight game he has held the opponent to two or less goals. He will take on the Sabres in Montreal tonight, so Price is definitely a must-start.

Carey Price
Johnny Boychuk will be out 3-7 days after being diagnosed with strained back.

This is great news for Boychuk and the Bruins after what was very scary incident on Thursday. Boychuk will miss four-to-five games barring any setback. Kevan Miller is expected to dress until Adam McQuaid is ready to return to the lineup.

Johnny Boychuk
Ward leads the Hurricanes on the ice for warmups; he starts.

Ward stopped 27 of 30 shots in a loss to the Canucks on Sunday. He was given the next two starts off but will be back in net tonight in the second game of a back-to-back. In 13 starts he is 4-5-4 with a 2.90 GAA ad .908 SV%. He draws a tough assignment tonight as the Sharks come to town.

Cam Ward
Shaw (undisclosed) will not play tonight but is "close" to returning, so Sunday seems like a possibility.

Shaw will miss his second straight game after being injured late in Tuesday's contest vs. the Stars. Monitor his status prior to Sunday's game. He has eight goals, nine assists and a plus-10 rating in 29 games.

Andrew Shaw
Handzus (illness) will return to the Blackhawks lineup tonight.

Handzus missed the last two games with an illness but will suit up on the Hawks second line tonight. In 13 games he has one goal and three assists. Sheldon Brookbank is expected to be scratched with Handzus' return.

Raanta gets the call for the Blackhawks.

Raanta stopped 32 of 34 shots in win over the Coyotes last Saturday. In his first two NHL starts he is 2-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .929 SV%. He will make his third start tonight vs. Anaheim as the Hawks are in the tail-end of a back-to-back. He will usually be a strong spot-start option because of how good Chicago is, however the matchup tonight is likely one that should be avoided.

Antti Raanta
Dupuis (lower-body) will travel with the team to Boston.

Dupuis was injured in Thursday's game vs. the Sharks shortly after he scored a goal. He did not return to the game, but will travel with the team and could be in the lineup tomorrow. Monitor his status during the Penguins' morning skate.
