He sat out yesterday because of groin tenderness, but stated he would play. Alfredsson will appear in his second game as a Red Wing after playing 16:13 and recording three shots in his debut.

Howard got off to a good start to the season vs. Buffalo. He had a fairly easy night stopping 19 of 20 shots in a 2-1 win over the Sabres.

Nabokov helped the Islanders to the playoffs with a 23-11-7 record, 2.50 GAA and .910 SV%. At 38-years-old, Nabby's career is winding down. He has consistently posted a GAA between 2.40-2.50 and SV% slightly above .910 over his last four NHL seasons. His numbers will not blow you away, but they will serve you well as a number-2 fantasy option.

Neal was a game-time decision last night but ended up playing. He skated just 3:49 in the season opener before leaving and not returning. The Pens will probably play it safe and keep him out of tomorrow's game since there's 81 games left in the season.

Clutterbuck is still a few weeks away from returning, but this is a positive sign for the Islanders.

Gryba will play with Chris Phillips on the Senators blueline. Gryba had two goals and four assists in 33 games with the Sens last season.

Hamonic's concussion results were never made public, but participating in practice this morning likely means he will be in the lineup tonight.

MacDonald went 8-9-1 with a 2.87 GAA and .902 SV% as a part-time starter / backup for the Flames last season. With a back-to-back yesterday and today, MacDonald will get his first start of the season tonight. The way the Flames defense looked last night, it would be hard to trust Joey Mac
Mark Fraser's LTIR designation opened up a roster spot for Devane. He is not fantasy relevant.

Rielly will make his debut with Jake Gardiner as his D-partner. That is a high-powered, offensive duo that should be able to produce for the Leafs. If Rielly can get off to a hot-start with Fraser on IR, he could stick with the team.

Fraser (knee) is required to miss the Maple Leafs next 10 games/24 days.

Miller played great in the season opener stopping 32 of 34 shots in a 2-1 loss to the Red Wings. He will go again tonight in the Sabres home opener vs. Craig Anderson and the Ottawa Senators.

MacDonald went 8-9-1 with a 2.87 GAA and .902 SV% as a part-time starter / backup for the Flames last season. With a back-to-back yesterday and today, it looks like MacDonald will get his first start of the season tonight. The way the Flames defense looked last night, it would be hard to trust Joey Mac.
In his first season as a Blue Jacket, Bobrovsky was outstanding. He almost carried the team to the playoffs on the back of a Vezina Trophy winning season - 21-11-6 record, 2.00 GAA and .932 SV%. His numbers are expected to drop-off slightly in 2013-14, but not too bad. The secret is out on Bobrovsky, he is a legit fantasy number-1.

“He’s going to be out for a bit,” Captials head coach Adam Oates said, “but I don’t want to speculate.” The newly acquired Alexander Urbom or Steve Oleksy will step onto the Caps blueline with HIllen out.

Holtby was pulled after allowing three goals on 11 shots vs. the Flames last night. He has had a shaky start to the season allowing eight goals in four periods. His early season 6.35 GAA and .822 SV% were not the start fantasy owners were looking for. Holtby will look to rebound tomorrow vs. a 0-1 Stars team.

Morrow in, Paajarvi in.

Quick was a disappointment in the shortened season going 18-13-4 with a 2.45 GAA and .902 SV%. He shared the crease with Jonathan Bernier, who is in Toronto. Quick is going to start 65 games and is a great candidate for 35 wins in 2013-14.

Beagle has just nine goals and nine assists in 130 career NHL games.

Fraser's injury all but assures that Morgan Rielly will make his NHL debut on Saturday.
