When he is healthy he usually produces on a fairly consistent basis, however staying healthy has been a big issue for him throughout the years.
DeKeyser will most likely be in the lineup on Thursday in Phoenix if he does not play tomorrow.
Lashoff is being sent down to clear roster space for Danny DeKeyser. It was likely going to be Gustav Nyquist but with the injury to Henrik Zetterberg, Nyquist will need to be in the lineup tomorrow.
Zetterberg was a late scratch for today's game with Chicago. Zetterberg tweaked his groin in warmups and will likely miss tomorrow's game with the Avalanche.
Howard was lit up this afternoon by the Blackhwaks. Chicago banged in three goals on their first three shots on their way to a 7-1 win. Howard was yanked in the second period after giving up five goals. He will start tomorrow against an Avalanche team who have won just once in their last five games.
Samuelsson was playing in his first game in over a month and was injured again. He has had a hard time staying healthy this season. The Red Wings were getting spanked so maybe they just kept him out as a precaution.
This could keep Crosby out for the remainder of the regular season. With them virtually locked into a playoff spot there would be no reason for them to rush their captain back. A timetable for his return has not yet been released.
