Boychuk should start tonight's game on the top line. Through 15 games, the top prospect has only managed two assists.
Word is that barring D injuries, Pitkanen may not return until last two weeks of season.
Limited to only 21 games this season, Pitkanen has three goals and 12 points. He could be an option during the fantasy hockey playoffs but don't expect him to unseat stud rookie Justin Faulk.
Parise said went through the league’s concussion procedural testing before he came back out to the bench for the third period.
Sounds like Parise narrowly escaped a concussion. The Devils' captain now has 27 goals and 56 points in 64 games which includes a hat trick last night. Keep a close eye on Parise as concussions can remain dormant for a few days.

In six career appearances against the Avs, Fleury has a 4-1-0 record with a 2.82 GAA and .893 SV%.

In three career starts against the Panthers, Rinne has a 1-2-0 record with a 2.31 GAA and .931 SV%.
Bertuzzi tenderness/lower-body injury. "We'll see where he's at," Babcock said.
Bertuzzi was limited to only 8:01 of ice time tonight. The Red Wings would need to make a roster move if the veteran can't play.
Robyn Regehr was injured in the 2nd period of the San Jose game. Ruff still doesn't know where that will lead, "We'll find out about him, he's just being evaluated this morning and we'll see where he's at this afternoon."
Regehr is certainly questionable for tomorrow's game. He has a goal and three points with a minus-14 rating in 59 games.
Lightning D Bergeron (bulging back disc, sciatic nerve irritation) weighing surgery option that would end his season, GM Yzerman said.
Bergeron was enjoying a productive season with the Lightning before a bad back got the best of him. His year ends with four goals and 20 points in 43 games.

Backstrom's injury looked incredibly painful as the starting goalie was sure to miss the remainder of the season. There remains a slim chance he gets back before the regular season ends.

Devils GM Lou Lamoriello said C Travis Zajac (left Achilles tendon) has been progressing and is "skating every day."
Zajac could give the Devils yet another boost if he gets back to full form during the playoffs. So far, he's been limited to only eight games this season.
