Pyatt could play anywhere between the second and fourth line. The heart-and-soul forward has five goals and seven points on the season.

In seven career appearances against the Capitals, Garon has a 2-1-1 record with a 2.56 GAA, .904 SV% and one shutout.
JT Wyman practicing in red non-contact jersey
Wyman remains out after injuring his pinkie finger. He has a goal and three points through six games.

Pyatt should be able to get back in the lineup shortly. The heart-and-soul forward has five goals and seven points on the season.

Sounds like Malone will miss a couple more games. He has 10 goals and 27 points through 41 games this season, playing mostly on the top line.
No sign of Marc-Andre Bergeron, who is having back issues, from what I understand
Sounds like Bergeron will miss another couple of games. He has four goals and 24 points through 40 games.
Ryan Shannon also practicing in regular jersey
Shannon has been out since late December but is expected to get back in the lineup shortly. The Darien, Connecticut native scored two goals and seven points in 25 games before getting hurt.

Expect Burns to take his regular shift on the second defensive pairing. He has seven goals and 17 points through 46 games.
Sounds like Staal is out at least one more week, probably closer to two. But he's obviously improving.
Looks like Staal is making progress. Limited to only 34 games this season, the former 2nd overall pick has 15 goals and 21 points on the season. His return would be a huge boost to the Pens' offense.

Despres is likely healthy enough to play within the next two weeks. He probably requires some conditioning in the minors once healthy.
Asham feeling better. Still not skating.
Asham remains out indefinitely. Prior to getting hurt he scored two goals and 11 points in 41 games with 53 PIM.
Bylsma non-committal on Crosby having a neck problem until team hears finding of the "independent physician" evaluating his case.

Forward James van Riemsdyk remain out indefinitely with concussions
Still no news on JVR. Before getting hurt he scored 11 goals and 22 points in 37 games.

Limited to only 12 games, he has a goal on the year.

Gilbert staying on the ice is a good sign for the wounded d-man. He scored three goals and 15 points in 38 games before getting hurt.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (shoulder), however, is absent from today's #Oilers practice
Nugent-Hopkins was expected to return shortly after the break but was held out of today's practice. The star rookie has 13 goals and 35 points in his first 38 career games.
Goalie Start
BACK TO WORK: Semyon Varlamov to start tomorrow's game in Edmonton.
In three career starts against the Oilers, Varlamov has a 1-2-0 record with a 3.03 GAA and .897 SV%.
Kent Huskins on practicing today: "Today was the first day I wasn't really thinking about it. I feel like I'm getting up to speed finally."
Huskins likely plays in a depth role for the Blues once healthy. The veteran has two goals and four points through nine games.

In the 2023-24 season, there were a total of 14 suspensions and 17 fines issued throughout the NHL. The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
