Tom Gilbert will not play tonight but could Thursday vs St.Louis
Gilbert has been quite durable for the Oilers over the years, missing only three games over the last three seasons. The Minneapolis, Minnesota native scored three goals and 15 points in 38 games before getting hurt.

The League's top rookie has scored 13 goals and 35 points through 38 games.

After Tuesday's morning skate, Coyotes Head Coach Dave Tippett said there's a chance starting goalie Mike Smith, who has missed the past six games because of a lower-body injury, could be back in goal tonight
In four career starts against the Blues, Smith has a 2-2-0 record with a 3.46 GAA and .877 SV%.

Per team press release, Joni Pitkanen will be out an additional four weeks with knee surgery.
Pitkanen last played on December 6th due to a concussion. He was deemed out indefinitely at the time. If you don't have an available roster spot for him, it's likely safe to drop him and keep an eye on the Finnish dman in February.

Jagr is obviously in some pain as he could not grit through yesterday's festivities. The winger is expected to miss 7-10 days per the team's press release.
Bryan Little is not likely a player for Wed but will travel. Likely to return later in this four game swing for #winnipegjets
Out since he blocked a shot with his foot on December 17th, Little has missed the last six games. Surprisingly, the team has gone 4-1-1 without him.
COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed defenseman James Wisniewski on injured reserve, club Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Wisniewski suffered an ankle injury in the Blue Jackets’ 4-1 win at Dallas on December 29 and is expected to miss six weeks.
Wisniewski is eligible to come off IR on Thursday but won't likely play until February. By placing him on IR, the Blue Jackets now have an empty roster spot.
Rough estimation from Wilson that Armstrong could be back in 7-10 days.
Armstrong has been limited to nine games this season. The gritty winger has one assist while playing on the third line.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
