Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier today announced that the team has signed defenseman Jerome Gauthier-Leduc to a three-year entry-level contract. Buffalo selected Gauthier-Leduc in the third round (68th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Gauthier-Leduc could challenge for a roster spot as early as next season. He has 20 goals and 51 points through 35 games in the QMJHL.
Christian Ehrhoff - upper body injury, will not return.
Ehrhoff was injured during a first period fight with Troy Brouwer. He was not able to return to the game and probably won't play tomorrow. He has three goals and 17 points over 36 games.
Duchene out at least four weeks with right knee injury
Bad news for Duchene, who will miss all of January at the very least. Knee injuries can be tricky so Duchene may not come back at 100 percent right away. Tough to expect more than one more good month out of him this season.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
