Center Marc-Antoine Pouliot, whom Phoenix recalled from the American Hockey League on Friday, likely will make his debut today. Pouliot has played 179 NHL games for Edmonton and Tampa Bay. The Oilers selected him with the 22nd overall pick of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
Pouliot is expected to center the fourth line tonight in place of rookie Andy Miele.

Jason LaBarbera is expected to start in goal for the Coyotes, who have played seven consecutive one-goal games. They have won just two (2-4-1).
In two career starts against the Wild, LaBarbera has a 1-0-1 record with a 3.97 GAA and .875 SV%.

Van Riemsdyk has clearly been injured since returning from injury, scoring only one goal in the month of December. Expect the 22-year-old to require maintenance days as the season progresses.

Peverley last played on December 19th and hopes that his nagging injury can be put to bed. The Guelph, Ontario native is currently on a four-game point streak where he registered seven games.

Ehrhoff was injured during a first period fight with Troy Brouwer. He was not able to return to the game and probably won't play tomorrow. He has three goals and 17 points over 36 games.

Expect Gerbe to get back in the lineup shortly. The Oxford, Michigan native has three goals and 12 points through 26 games.

In the 2023-24 season, there were a total of 14 suspensions and 17 fines issued throughout the NHL. The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
