Gaborik had a maintenance day, no issues for tomorrow.
Gaborik seemed to be favoring his shoulder after scoring a goal against the Flyers. While he's probably been playing through injury, the leading scorer will rest on off days.
Torts says it's not a given Wojtek Wolski goes right back in the lineup as soon as he's ready to play. Too many guys playing well.
The Rangers' forwards have played very well. Couple that with Wolski not necessarily being a favorite of coach John Tortorella and the skilled winger could find himself in the press box when healthy.
Jeff Woywitka says he's finally ready to play again on left foot if needed tomorrow.
With Tim Erixon and Stu Bickel both banged up, the Rangers could opt to use Woywitka in the lineup.
Goalie Start
Same lineup tnght for Avs vs Jets, with Giguere in net.
In nine career appearances against the Jets, Giguere is 5-3-1 with a 3.02 GAA, .911 SV% and one shutout.
Leafs head coach Ron Wilson said Tuesday after the Leafs game-day skate in preparation for a meeting with the Florida Panthers that defenceman John-Michael Liles was placed on the injured-reserve list. Wilson did not give a date for Liles’s return, saying only they are “shutting him down for a few days.”
Liles is eligible to come off IR after this Thursday but likely stays on it for a few more days. The offensive d-man is out indefinitely with concussion-like symptoms.
Shea Weber is out for Wed game with a concussion sustained at Dallas. He will be evaluated on a daily basis with no timetable on his return
Coach Barry Trotz is hopeful that Weber can play later on this week but emphasized that there remains no timetable for his return.
Defenseman Clayton Stoner, who suffered a "lower body" injury last Thursday at Edmonton, was placed on injured reserve
Stoner is not eligible to play until Thursday. He has no fantasy hockey value.
Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon has a "lower-body" injury, according to coach Mike Yeo, and won't make the trip to Nashville for Wednesday night's game.
Yet another injury to the already banged up Wild blue line. The offensive defender scored two goals and 15 points over 36 games.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
