Neither Henrik Tallinder nor Adam Larsson made the trip to Carolina
Tallinder will not play tonight which means rookies Alexander Urbom and Matt Taormina stay in the lineup. Prior to getting hurt, Tallinder registered four assists through 30 games.

The Ottawa Senators have re-assigned forward Mike Hoffman to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
Hoffman played slightly over nine minutes in his NHL debut and has no fantasy hockey value while in the minors.

Gaborik was slashed following his third period goal tonight. He is expected to be OK following the incident.
Sheldon Souray will not return to the game tonight, lower body injury.
Tough break for the Stars, who seemed to be almost back at full strength. Souray is currently third in the League in shots on goal among defensemen.

BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has assigned forward Jordan Caron to the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League).
Caron moves back down to the AHL, where he is expected to actually play. The rookie has recently been leapfrogged by Zach Hamill and likely needs to regain some confidence.

With Nash back on the farm, look for Tim Brent to resume his duties as fourth line center.

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning have reassigned defenseman Evan Oberg to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League today, Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman announced.
Oberg continues to ride the AHL to NHL shuttle. He has yet to make his debut with the Bolts.

In the 2023-24 season, there were a total of 14 suspensions and 17 fines issued throughout the NHL. The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
