Oilers forward Taylor Hall will miss 2-4 weeks with a left shoulder injury.
Bad news for Hall owners and the Edmonton Oilers. Prior to getting hurt, the sophomore scored seven goals and 18 points in 22 games. As a fiery competitor, look for hall to get back into the lineup as soon as he can.
Blake Geoffrion has an "upper body" injury. Won't return.
Geofrrion just drew back into the lineup before leaving the game due to injury. The legacy forward has two assists in 18 games.

#canadiens rappellent Louis Leblanc. Call up.
Leblanc gets his first NHL call up and may see some time in a scoring role. In his first professional season, the Montreal native scored four goals and 10 points through 14 games.
Scott Parse, who has played only nine games this season, will have season-ending surgery on both hips in the near future. Parse has a history of problems with his hips. He played five games last season before having hip surgery, returned late in the season but, those within the team said privately, was never 100-percent healthy.
If you own Parse is any format, feel safe to drop him. Despite scoring 14 goals in 73 games, he holds very limited fantasy hockey value when healthy.
Call up / Send down
Watch for news out of Buffalo on former UND star and client Joe Finley signing a multi year NHL contract with Sabres.
The former first round pick has been a nice surprise down in Rochester, posting 57 PIM in 18 games. The 6'8" defender could be used in the NHL at some point this season.
Suspension
#canadiens Max Pacioretty suspendu pour 3 matchs. 3 game suspension.
Pacioretty will miss three consecutive games, meaning he is useless for head-to-head leagues.

#CBJ G Curtis Sanford will start on Tuesday vs #Canucks.
In seven career starts against the Canucks, Sanford has a 5-0-2 record with a 1.56 GAA, .951 SV% and one shutout.

In two career appearances against the Oilers, Lindback holds no record with a 3.41 GAA and .857 SV%.
And forwards Matt Bradley (upper body) and Marcel Goc (concussion symptoms) aren’t making the trip and will miss at least the next three games.
Despite dropping the gloves with relative frequency, Bradley has never topped 74 PIM over a full season. Don't expect too much of anything besides hits once he does return.

If you own Goc, stop. He won't play for at least a week and only scored two goals through 17 games prior to getting hurt.
Forward Tomas Kopecky, who missed Friday’s game against the Lightning with an upper body injury but played Saturday, was given a, “maintenance,’’ day off and will make the trip to Raleigh today.
Kopecky is banged up but expected to play on the road trip. The versatile forward has scored three goals and 10 points through his first 22 games as a Panther.
Line Change
Samuelsson skated with the team in the first part of practice and will make the trip. Panthers coach Kevin Dineen said he will participate in pre-skate tomorrow and will be a game-time decision.
Samuelsson is a game-time decision but most likely to miss another game. When he draws in he will be making his Panthers debut.
Penguins defenseman Kris Letang is questionable for Tuesday's road game against the Rangers as a result of facial injuries he suffered Saturday in Montreal.
Despite playing in the overtime period during Saturday's game, Letang may have a concussion. Stay tuned for a further word on his status.

Craig Anderson will start in goal tomorrow vs WPG.
In 10 career appearances against the Jets organization, Anderson holds a 6-1-2 record with a 2.29 GAA and .935 SV%.
DETROIT -- Detroit Red Wings forward Jan Mursak skated by himself before Monday's practice and estimated that he's 2-3 weeks away from returning from his broken ankle (Sept. 25).
When healthy, Mursak figures to make the logjam at forward even tighter. Due to that, the speedy winger could find himself in Grand Rapids for a conditioning stint.

Petrell draws back in due to the Taylor Hall injury. The Finnish rookie has a goal and three points through 19 games with the Oilers.

Hall had an MRI today with the results not expected to be released until late tonight or tomorrow. Expect a further update as soon as the news breaks.

In the 2023-24 season, there were a total of 14 suspensions and 17 fines issued throughout the NHL. The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
