Hemsky is skating for the second consecutive day. Not sure if he will replace Jordan Eberle on the top line when he returns.

That would appear to indicate that Tim Thomas will get the start in goal and Kampfer and Pouliot will be the scratches.
Over 29 career appearances against the Sens, Thomas holds a 19-8-2 record with a 1.91 GAA, .938 SV% and six shutouts.

We have decided to keep Ryan Johnasen through the 10 game threshhold which means the 1st year of his contract will apply to this season.
Johansen has looked quite dynamic over the past four games with two goals and three points with both markers becoming game winners. He will remain a Blue Jacket for the rest of the season.

Considering that today was Reimer's first full practice since last Wednesday, seems more likely that he'd return vs. CBJ on Thursday.
Reimer will face the Blue Jackets for the first time in his career.
Gardiner suffering from a minor foot injury. Blocked a shot vs. Ottawa and felt sore today. Status tomorrow in doubt.
Gardiner has been a big reason why the team continues to sit Cody Franson. The rookie has played well and chipped in three assists over nine games this season. Check back tomorrow to see if he's in the lineup.

Left wing Eric Boulton also said he is ready to play if needed after missing the last four games with a sore right hand. DeBoer said he would also talk to the training stafff about Boulton before deciding if he will play on Wednesday.
Boulton could draw in against the Leafs, who roster agitator Mike Brown. Nevertheless, there are probably better options in streaming PIM.

Sounds like Marty will be a decision made tomorrow. He is certainly healthy enough to backup but coach Pete DeBoer has played his cards close to the vest.

Devante Smith-Pelly skated this morning on fourth line. If he plays, it'll be his 10th game. Said he hasn't gotten official word on staying.
Smith-Pelly could become the victim of the numbers game as the team has options up front. The team has serious worries about his conditioning level at the midway point of the season but they may burn a year off his entry-level contract due to his performance.

Cogliano provides solid, two-way play but only registered a goal and two points over 11 games.

Recent call-up Nick Bonino will center McMillan and Gordon on third line.
Bonino scored two goals and 11 points with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL. Expect him to get a few games on the new-look third line.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
