Kari Lehtonen will be back in net Tuesday night.
Through seven career starts against the Stars, Lehtonen holds a 3-1-3 record with a 1.94 GAA and .937 SV%.
Mueller has missed the past five games, including that past two since being listed with a "head" injury
Mueller remains out indefinitely with a head injury although he was previously skating and practicing with the club. At this point he should be safe to drop as he has not proven himself healthy and consistent offensively.

Goalie Semyon Varlamov and four others did not participate in today's Avalanche practice. Forwards Milan Hejduk, David Jones and Peter Mueller and defenseman Kyle Quincey also didn't skate with the team today.

Drew Doughty said he doesn't expect to play tomorrow and Murray said he'll probably have a few more days of no contact.
A few more days of no contact would rule Doughty out for the next two games with a new target date set for the 29th or 30th of the month. Stay tuned, as always, for a further update.

After cracking the NHL roster out of camp for the first time in his career, Perreault has five points (three goals, two assists) in five games.
Perreault has looked good over his first five games and has filled in admirably for Jay Beagle. He may have some short-term fantasy hockey value for deeper leagues.

If you own PL3, bench him in anticipation of a healthy scratch tomorrow. The Avs don't have a set enforcer which decreases the liklihood of him fighting.

Notable suspensions and fines include Ryan Reaves of the Toronto Maple Leafs who was given a five-game suspension for an illegal check to the head against the Edmonton Oilers, and Los Angeles Kings forward Tanner Jeannot who was dealt a three-game suspension, also for an illegal hit to the head.
In the 2023-24 season, there were a total of 14 suspensions and 17 fines issued throughout the NHL. The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
