Blues coach Davis Payne benched the winger for the entire second period, and while he declined to give a reason for it after the game, it seemed to stem from a turnover by Oshie late in the final minute of the opening period.
Oshie has struggled under coach Davis Payne in the past for one reason or another. At this point he looks like a player who will never truly break out in St. Louis; don't hold out for anything more than 20 goals and 50 points.
Lundqvist said it's skate equipment problem that created pain in his feet, caused him to leave game. But says he's "fine," not injured #NYR
If anything, Lundqvist could miss the team's next game. He probably continues to lead the team out on the ice for the time being but keep an eye on his minor injury if you own him

Quick is the first NHL goalie to record three straight shutouts since Columbus’ Steve Mason in Dec. 2008.
Quick is an elite starting goalie that was had at a discounted rate. As we pointed out in the preseason "His 4×5 GAA — goals against while shorthanded — was the second lowest among starting goaltenders (only Pekka Rinne was higher) with at least 60 games player." We are witnessing a very special goalie play at an elite level.
= Bylsma said D Zbynek Michalek sustained a hand injury. A lot of fans have been down on Michalek this season, but his loss would be significant if it’s over an extended period of time. Not just on the ice, either; Michalek has been praised by many teammates for his dressing-room leadership since this run of injuries began in January.
Should Michalek be out of the lineup for an extended period, the Pens would be hurting even more. His 21:59 of ice time currently is third behind only Kris Letang and Paul Martin. Stay tuned for a further update on the blue-liner and who will replace him.
Tyler Seguin took a slash on the right leg from the Sharks’ Benn Ferriero just before the Bruins’ pulled goalie Tim Thomas tonight and he did not return to the game, but he said he was OK after the game.
Sounds like Seguin will be OK and won't miss any playing time. Through seven games this season he has two goals and eight points. Expect a further update on how the Bruins will handle this injury.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
