Through the team's first six games, Horton scored a goal and an assist putting him on pact for 14 goals and 28 points. Look for his demotion to last a game or two.

Michal Neuvirth is skating alone at KCI, appears to be testing his bruised foot, a half hour before the #Caps are scheduled to practice.
Good sign that Neuvirth was at least skating. However, with his appearance coming before practice he likely won't be ready in any capacity for tomorrow's game.

Through his first two games in a Leafs uni, Franson registered an assist with a minus-1 rating. As the team's 'seventh defenseman' he figures to rotate between the press box and lineup all season.

NEWS: The Red Wings have signed goaltender Petr Mrazek to a three-year entry-level contract. He was the club's 141st pick in the 2010 Draft.
Mrazek will continue to play for the Ottawa 67s of the OHL this season.

RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has assigned defenseman Justin Faulk to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Faulk will go down to the AHL where he will actually get into games. Expect him to be one of the first callups should the team need a spare defender. However, with Derek Joslin already on the bench, he should stay with the Charlotte Checkers most of the season.

In the 2023-24 season, there were a total of 14 suspensions and 17 fines issued throughout the NHL. The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
