Omark skated as an extra day, indicating he may miss a game or two. Through 51 games last season, the dangling forward scored five goals and 27 points with a minus-16 rating. Look for Lennart Petrell to slot back into the lineup with Omark out.

Murphy made the squad but does not yet have a full-time spot. Last season he scored 26 goals and 79 points through 63 games with the Kitchener Rangers of the AHL. He could be sent back to Juniors if he doesn't figure into the lineup soon enough.

McBain could be scratched for the third consecutive game. Last season he scored seven goals and 30 points, primarily quarterbacking the top PP unit. If he continues getting scratched, he could eventually be trade bait.

Stay tuned for a further update on Marleau's status. The former captain has not missed a game since the 2008-2009 campaign, so don't expect him to sit out.

While Tanev's 'rough game' never showed up on the box score, it was a large reason why the score was relatively close. Expect Andrew Alberts to draw in if coach Alain Vigneault is comfortable using him on the right side.

Schneider has one career appearance against the Red Wings, stopping all five shots faced.

Over 14 career appearances against the Flyers, Luongo holds a 4-6-1-2 record with a 3.15 GAA, .918 SV% and one shutout.

Crawford has never faced the Jets, or the Atlanta Thrashers, in his career.

Hecht could return as soon as this weekend but likely is held out of the lineup a bit longer. Hecht only scored 12 goals and 29 points over his 67 games last season but has eclipsed 40 points seven times in his career. Might be a decent add in very deep leagues.
Over 20 career appearances against the Bruins, Ward holds a 8-10-2 record with a 2.82 GAA, .909 SV% and two shutouts.

Expect the often injured Cammalleri out of the lineup for at least three weeks, returning at the end of the month at the absolute earliest. Last season, he only drew into 67 games which led to a average 19-goal, 47-point output. Travis Moen replaced him at today's practice.

Connolly left practice today after only 15 minutes. He is not expected to play this weekend. Stay tuned for a further update on his status.
Franson likely draws into the third pairing, taking the place of Mike Komisarek. Last season, he managed to score eight goals and 29 points with the Nashville Predators -- a playoff team. For some puzzling reason, he has yet to crack the Leafs' lineup.

MacArthur has been battling an elbow injury but should get back into the lineup. Last season he scored 21 goals and 62 points over 82 games while playing on the Grabovski line. Expect similar production despite his two games missed.

Johansson's benching was an attempt to wake up the sophomore center. The recently-turned 21-year-old certainly proved himself worthy of a scoring-line role.

Krejci has a goal through the team's first three games, perhaps this injury was effecting his effectiveness in the offensive end. Expect further updates on this top liner.

Over 11 career appearances against the Wild, Anderson holds a 2-6-0-2 record with a 3.01 GAA and .898 SV%.

Smyth avoids the 'Shanaban' following his elbow to the face of Chris Kunitz. Feel free to roll him out in any standard leagues, if you were planning on starting him.
Butler is clearly not a favorite of coach MacLean. Last season he scored 10 goals and 21 points through 36 games. Don't expect too much from him until he gets out of the doghouse.

Considering the Sens have younger, higher-potential options, Lee likely will find the press box more often than not. Unless your league counts hits and block, he holds very limited fantasy hockey value.
