Belanger should start the season while centering the third line. Last season he managed to score 13 goals and 40 points while playing on the team's top line. He should come near replicating those totals but will suffer in plus/minus. At this point, only consider Belanger if your team needs face-off wins.

No immediate fantasy hockey value in the AHL.
Cogliano looked more comfortable down the middle over the course of his career. Last year he struggled when moved to the wing but still scored 11 goals and 35 points. He can certainly come near 20 goals over a full season if given the opportunity.

Moore scored only five goals and 24 points in his first professional season. As the team's 21st overall pick just two seasons ago, the Blue Jackets would probably prefer to have their youngster develop more confidence in the minors. Scratch him off this year's cheat sheet unless he significantly progresses at the AHL level.

Savard could grasp a roster spot as the team lacks a third puck-moving defender. Last season he impressed with 11 goals and 43 points over 72 games with the Springfield Falcons. Look for him to make the team at some point this season.

Clitsome could provide some valuable counting stats for that 10 percent of the season. Last year he seemingly came out of nowhere to post four goals and 19 points through 31 games. Expect similar production while he remains the team's top puck-moving defender.

The team remains very high on Atkinson, giving him an extended look. Last season, the 6th round pick dominated Hockey East, scoring 31 goals in 39 games for Boston College. Look for him to at least start at the AHL level.

While not fantasy hockey relevant himself, his absence from the lineup could push for the team to deploy a scoring third line. Should he return, expect his nine goals of last season to be his ceiling.

Mayorov should earn a role on a scoring line at some point this season. Over his three seasons in Springfield, the Russian export never scored more than 19 goals. Expect some growing pains and for Mayorov to need to use his size to his advantage.
As we know from concussions, players are out indefinitely until passing baseline tests. The Czech winger scored 24 goals in 76 games last season for the Springfield Falcons. He was expected to earn a scoring-line role but may have fell on the depth chart due to his health.
Calvert should be back in the lineup before the end of preseason. Last season, he impressed by scoring 11 goals in 42 games with the Blue Jackets. The team will expect him to approach 20 goals in his sophomore season, playing a solid two-way game on the second line.

Johansen looks to make the team in a depth role, which should ease the blue-chip prospect in the NHL. Last season, he scored 40 goals and 92 points with the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL. He should be a key contributor to the team for years.

Stajan failed to impress last season, moving from the team's top line to the fourth. Last season, the playmaking pivot still managed six goals and 31 points, indicating he could have value offensively for a different team. Don't expect too much playing time for Stajan unless he outworks Mikael Backlund, Brendan Morrison and Olli Jokinen.

Losing Kadri is a big hit to the team's depth chart. With Tim Connolly already injured, the former 7th overall pick was expected to center the top line. Expect a bigger role with the team when he does return, on either the first or third line.
