Franson won't make the top four right away but could move up if he produces. The 24-year-old scored eight goals and 29 points in 80 games with the Nashville Predators last season.
Dupuis will battle for the third-line center role during training camp. With the Colorado Avalanche, the 26-year-old scored six goals and 17 points in 74 games last season.
Penner scored only two goals and six points in his 19 regular season games as a King. The 28-year-old power forward will be given every opportunity to succeed in California, with the team hoping he can return to his 30-goal form.
Although the injury only appears to be a bruise, Carter has surgery on both feet this past offseason. This malady could be a sign for a nagging injury, which is enough to worry fantasy owners. Regardless, Carter has missed only 10 games over the past two seasons.
Nabokov appears committed to playing for the Islanders following last season's controversial waiver claim. The 36-year-old posted a 44-16-10 record with a 2.43 GAA and .922 SV% in his last NHL season, playing goal for a powerhouse San Jose Sharks team.
DiPietro claims to be fully healthy and could see a great deal of games because of it. If the injury-prone netminder can suit up, he will, due to his albatross of a contract.
Galiardi started the season on the team's top line before getting injured. Once he returned he failed to show any consistency that would make him a fantasy relevant player. The former 2nd round pick is only two seasons removed from a 15-goal season; the potential is certainly there.
Hunter will need to sign before he holds any fantasy value. Right now it looks like the Kings like him as the third line RW in place of Scott Parse.
Kane scored two goals and an assist in today's scrimmage which indicates he could probably play tomorrow, if he had to. However, the Blackhawks likely did not target his injured wrist -- a luxury he will not have in real games.
Eaves scored a few goals when the Red Wings were down with injuries last season. If he stays on Datsyuk's line, expect around 20 goals -- a total Eaves has not hit since his rookie season.
