COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed forward Mike Blunden to a one-year, two-way NHL-American Hockey League contract, Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Scott Howson announced today. As is club policy, terms were not disclosed.

RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Joni Pitkanen on a three-year contract. The deal will pay Pitkanen $4.5 million per season.
The Canes announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Patrick Dwyer on a two-year contract. The deal will pay Dwyer $600,000 in 2011-12, and $650,000 in 2012-13.
The Penguins have signed free-agent winger Pascal Dupuis to a two-year contract.
Terms for Laich is six years, $27 million, according to the #Caps.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
