Crookshank made his NHL debut with Ottawa last season, scoring three points (2G / 1A) in 13 games. The 25-year-old fifth-round pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft has spent the entirety of the 2024-25 season in the AHL, tallying 33 points (18G / 15A) in 48 games with the Belleville Senators.

Tomkins served as Andrei Vasilevskiy's backup in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers. The 30-year-old Tomkins returns to the AHL, where he has a 2.54 GAA and .911 SV% in 22 games with the Syracuse Crunch (9-9-4).

Nichushkin has not played since suffering a lower-body injury on December 31st. The 29-year-old forward originally was not supposed to be out long-term but suffered a setback, keeping him sidelined for the previous 21 games. Nichushkin has been effective when in the lineup but has had trouble staying healthy, failing to play more than 65 games in each of his previous six seasons. He has 17 points (11G / 6A) in 21 games this season.

Nylander played 21:21 time-on-ice in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win against the Boston Bruins but did not touch the ice in overtime due to an undisclosed injury. The 28-year-old Nylander has 58 points (33G / 25A) in 58 games this season.

Josi suffered an upper-body injury after receiving a hit from Sam Bennett in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Florida Panthers, exiting the contest late in the second period. The 34-year-old Josi has 38 points (9G / 29A) and a career-worst -26 plus/minus rating through 53 games this season.





Tanev left the game after taking a hit from John Beecher early in the first period of Tuesday's game and was unable to return. We should get an update on Tanev's status ahead of Toronto's game in New York on Friday.

Stillman was a surprise addition to Tuesday night's lineup as the Hurricanes are opting to dress seven blue-liners. Tyson Jost will sit in his place.
