MacEwen has been reassigned to Belleville (AHL) after clearing waivers.

MacEwen was placed on waivers on Monday but cleared and was reassigned to Belleville (AHL) on Tuesday. The 27-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Senators in the offseason but has failed to impress with only two goals, one assist, 16 SOG, and 46 PIMs in 22 games so far this season. He heads back to the AHL for the first time since 2022-23 where he appeared in three games with Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Zack MacEwen
Ferraro (lower body) will return to the Sharks' lineup on Wednesday in Winnipeg.

Ferraro has not played since exiting a game on January 22nd with a lower-body injury but appears ready to return to the lineup for the Sharks' Wednesday night contest against the Winnipeg Jets. The 25-year-old had been a key part of San Jose's blue line throughout the year, with his 14 points (1G/13A), 26 PIMs, 79 SOG, and -21 plus/minus.

Mario Ferraro
Rittich was the first goalie off at Los Angeles' morning skate.

Rittich will continue his reign over the Kings' crease and start his fourth straight game on Tuesday evening. The Czech netminder is riding a two-game winning streak and is coming off a tremendous performance in his last outing, saving all 26 shots he faced in a 4-0 shutout victory over the typically high-scoring Edmonton Oilers. The Kings are -131 road favourites against a Buffalo Sabres club that has scored only two goals in their last two games (0-2-0).

David Rittich
Kahkonen will start on Wednesday in Winnipeg.

Kahkonen will tend the twine on Wednesday when the Sharks play their first game in two weeks. The 27-year-old Kahkonen played well in the Sharks last contest on January 31st, allowing three goals on 34 shots (.912 SV%) in a 3-2 losing effort in overtime. The low-scoring Sharks (2.08 GF / GP) will be without leading scorer Tomas Hertl (knee) for the foreseeable future, adding to their scoring woes. The Sharks are significant +374 road underdogs against the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday night.

Kaapo Kahkonen
Bellemare (lower body) has been activated from Injured Reserve.

Bellemare has been on injured reserve since suffering a broken bone in his leg in mid-December but appears to be ready to return imminently, right on cue with his original six-week prognosis. The 38-year-old French veteran left-winger had enjoyed a productive start to his 2023-24 season, with four goals, one assist, 25 SOG and six PIMs in 29 games played before his injury.

Pierre-Edouard Bellemare
Philp has been placed on waivers by Chicago after recovering from a successful Achilles surgery in August.

Philp had the potential to make the Blackhawks' opening night roster but was placed on the injured reserve after undergoing Achilles surgery in the offseason. The 27-year-old forward appeared in three games for Chicago in 2022-23 and picked up an assist and two PIMs. He played the majority of last season in Rockford, where he had 29 goals, 53 points and a +17 plus/minus in 60 games played.

Luke Philp
Pitlick has been placed on waivers by the New York Rangers on Tuesday.

After playing five straight for the Rangers, Pitlick was a healthy scratch on Monday before being placed on waivers on Tuesday. Adam Edstrom replaced Pitlick in the lineup on Monday. In 34 games this season, Pitlick has four points (1G / 3A) while averaging 10:12 time-on-ice.

Tyler Pitlick
Patera has been reassigned to the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL).

Patera was recalled from the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL) on Monday as Logan Thompson was battling an illness but has been reassigned back to the AHL. Patera has played five games with Vegas this season but has spent most of his time with Henderson, posting a 3.08 GAA and .903 SV% in 17 games (7-7-3).

Jiri Patera
Dorofeyev (upper body) was placed on Injured Reserve.

Dorofeyev has not played since before the All-Star break, missing four games with an upper-body injury. The 23-year-old left-winger surpassed his previous career high in games played and points in a season as he's racked up seven goals, 14 points, 63 SOG, and a +5 plus/minus thus far in 29 games played.

Pavel Dorofeyev
Hutton (upper body) was removed from Injured Reserve on Monday.

Hutton has been out of the lineup since December 28th with an upper-body injury. Despite being out of the lineup for six weeks, the 30-year-old defenceman has almost surpassed his games played from last season and has a goal, eight assists, 46 SOG, 15 PIMs and a +5 plus/minus in 31 games played.

Ben Hutton
Skinner will start on Tuesday vs. Detroit.

After a franchise-best 16-game winning streak, the Oilers have lost two of their last three contests, both with Skinner between the pipes. Skinner will look to get back into the win column on Tuesday night as the Oilers are -220 home favourites against the Detroit Red Wings, who have points in four straight (3-0-1). Despite dropping his past two outings, Skinner has played respectably, allowing only five goals while posting a .900 SV%

Stuart Skinner
Pesce (illness) will be a game-time decision on Tuesday in Dallas.

Pesce has missed the last two games due to an illness, and his status remains in the air for Tuesday's matchup against the Dallas Stars. The 29-year-old Pesce isn't flashy on the blueline but provides a steadying defensive presence for the Hurricanes. Through 41 games this season, he was seven points (3G / 4A), 61 shots, and 71 blocks.

Brett Pesce
Kochetkov was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate.

Kochetkov will likely start for the fourth straight game as the Hurricanes attempt to extend their winning streak to three on Tuesday night. Kochetkov is coming off his best performance of the season, a 34-save shutout in a 1-0 overtime victory against the New Jersey Devils. The Hurricanes are slight +103 road underdogs against a Dallas Stars club that has won five of their last six contests (5-1-0).

Pyotr Kochetkov
Acciari (concussion) has been placed on Injured Reserve.

Acciari was limited to only 5:35 time-on-ice in last Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Winnipeg Jets (02/06) before exiting the game with a concussion after a hit from Brendan Dillon. Acciari had played 11 of the past 12 games for the Penguins but failed to register a point in that time while averaging 12:58 time-on-ice.

Noel Acciari
Malkin (undisclosed) returned to practice Tuesday and has stated that "everything is good" in regard to his injury.

Malkin missed Monday's practice due to an undisclosed injury but claimed "everything is good" after participating in Tuesday's morning skate. The 37-year-old is having his first season under a point-per-game since 2010-11 but still has an impressive 16 goals and 41 points in 49 games played this season. The Penguins next suit up on Wednesday as they take on the Florida Panthers at home.

Evgeni Malkin
Jeannot (lower body) has been activated from Injured Reserve and will be back in Tampa Bay's lineup on Tuesday.

Jeannot has been out since January 6th due to a lower-body injury but was activated off Injured Reserve on Tuesday and will rejoin Tampa Bay's lineup. The 26-year-old bruising winger has filled in his bottom-six role well this season with 12 points (6G/6A), 52 SOG, 61 PIMs, and a -11 plus/minus in 41 games played prior to the injury.

Tanner Jeannot
Schwindt has been reassigned to the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) on Tuesday.

Schwindt has not dressed since before the All-Star break (January 27th) and has therefore been reassigned to the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) so that he can get some game time. The 22-year-old rookie right-winger has appeared in three games this season for Calgary, playing a minor role and picking up one SOG, two PIMs, and a -1 plus/minus while averaging a minuscule 6:30 TOI.

Cole Schwindt

The 35-year-old Vezina Trophy winner has been lights out when called upon in his fifth season with Florida, with his 25-10-2 record, 2.43 GAA, and .913 SV%.
