Gustavsson will start Friday vs. Finland.

Gustavsson had a really rough first period but ultimately settled in to stop 20 of the 22 shots that he faced in Sweden's win over Italy on Wednesday. It wasn't pretty, but it was enough to beat the overmatched hosts, however Sweden will need him to be sharper against Finland on Friday. Gustavsson and the Swedes are -192 favourites vs. their bitter rivals.

Filip Gustavsson
Skorvanek will start Friday vs. Italy.

Skorvanek watched Samuel Hlavaj put on a dazzling performance in Slovakia's tournament opener and will get his opportunity on Friday vs. Italy. The 30-year-old netminder plays for Mountfield HK (Czech ExtraLiga), where he's tied for the league lead in wins (24), second in GAA (1.95) and tied for fifth in SV% (.923) this season. Slovakia are massive -1050 to move to 2-0 in the tournament.

Stanislav Skorvanek
Fadani will start Friday vs. Slovakia.

Fadani surrendered one goal on 10 shots in 13:32 after replacing Damian Clara in Italy's tournament opening loss to Sweden. Today he'll start against Slovakia, as sizeable +675 underdogs. The 25-year-old netminder plays for Kloten HC (NL) and has gone 8-9-2 with a 2.43 GAA, .922 SV% and two shutouts this season.

Davide Fadani
Clara (lower-body) is questionable to play Friday vs. Slovakia.

Clara was absolutely spectacular in his Olympics debut, making 46 saves before being forced to leave Italy's loss to Sweden. If Clara isn't available to start Friday's game vs. Slovakia, expect Davide Fadani, who replaced him on Wednesday, to get the start.

Damian Clara
Saros will start Friday vs. Sweden.

Saros was not very sharp in Finland's tournament opening loss to Slovakia, allowing three goals on 24 shots. That will not discourage Finland from coming back to their No.1 goalie in a massive game vs. Their rivals from Sweden. Saros and Finland enter the game as +160 underdogs.

Juuse Saros
Andersen will start Thursday vs. Germany.

It has been a very difficult season for Andersen, who is 7-10-5 with a 3.26 GAA and .871 SV% for the Carolina Hurricanes. Still, he enters the Olympics as Denmark's No.1 goalie after a fantastic performance for them during the Olympic qualifiers. He was 3-0-0 with a 1.31 GAA and .938 SV% in three games.

Frederik Andersen
Grubauer will start Thursday vs. Denmark.

Grubauer has enjoyed a resurgent 2025-26 season, going 11-6-3 with a 2.43 GAA and .916 SV% in 22 games for the Seattle Kraken. He also played very well the last time he represented Germany, going 2-1-0 with a 2.02 GAA and .930 SV% at the 2025 World Championships.

Philipp Grubauer
Morrissey (undisclosed) left Thursday's game vs. Czechia and will not return.

Morrissey played just 7:10 TOI before leaving Thursday's game vs. Czechia with an undisclosed injury. If Morrissey misses Friday's game vs. Switzerland, Travis Sanheim will dress as Canada's seventh defenseman. Shea Theodore will presumably take on a bigger role after starting Wednesday's game as the seventh blueliner.

Josh Morrissey
Dostal will start Thursday vs. Canada.

Dostal has had a bit of an up-and-down season with the Anaheim Ducks, going 21-13-2 with a 2.92 GAA and .897 SV% in 38 games. Internationally, he hasn't represented Czechia since 2024, when he led them to a Bronze medal, going 6-2-0 with a 1.58 GAA, .939 SV% and three shutouts. Dostal and the Czechs are +390 underdogs against the powerhouse Canadians in their opening game.

Lukas Dostal
Binnington will start Thursday vs. Czechia.

Despite a disastrous season with the Blues, where Binnington is 8-17-6 with a 3.65 GAA and .864 SV%, it looks like he'll start the tournament opening game for Canada. He was solid at the 4Nations Tournament last year, backstopping Canada to Gold with a 3-1-0 record, 2.37 GAA and .907 SV%. Today he'll face Czechia as -520 favourites to start 1-0.

Jordan Binnington
Merzlikins will start Thursday vs. the United States.

Merzlikins had a tough start to the season, but has settled in since the Blue Jackets made a coaching change. Overall, he's 11-8-1 with a 3.49 GAA and .888 SV% in 21 games. The last time he suited up for Latvia, he struggled, going 2-2-0 with a 4.80 GAA and .826 SV% at the 2024 World Championships.

Elvis Merzlikins
Keller will start Thursday vs. Switzerland.

Keller started the 2025-26 season in North America, playing four games for the South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL) before returning to Switzerland to play for HC Ajoie. In 10 National League games, Keller has gone 4-5-1 with a 3.59 GAA and .895 SV%. Internationally, he struggled for France at last year's World Championships, going 0-4-0 with a 3.98 GAA and .897 SV%. He'll have his work cut out for him on Thursday as France are huge +850 underdogs vs. Switzerland.

Hellebuyck will start Thursday vs. Latvia.

It's been a bit of a disappointing season for Hellebuyck, who was so dominant in 2024-25. Through 36 games, he's 13-16-7 with a 2.79 GAA and .900 SV%, a far cry from the 2.01 GAA and .925 SV% we saw last season. Internationally, he's only appeared in the 4Nations tournament since 2018, and he was great for the Americans, going 2-1-0 with a 1.59 GAA and .932 SV%.

Genoni will start Thursday vs. France.

Genoni is a 38-year-old veteran who has been excellent for Switzerland internationally over the years. That was especially the case at last year's Wold Championships when he helped the Swiss to a Silver Medal by going 5-2-0 with a 0.99 GAA, .953 SV% and four shutouts in seven games. In club play this season, he's 14-13-2 with a 2.38 GAA, 915 SV% and four shutouts for EV Zug, who sit in the middle of the league table. Genoni and Team Switzerland are -1450 favourites against France on Thursday.
