Andersen will start in Minnesota on Wednesday.

The Hurricanes have received stellar netminding from Pyotr Kochetkov since his debut in early November, but the team has remained committed to alternating its goalies and will turn to Andersen on Wednesday against the Minnesota Wild. The 36-year-old Andersen has been far from spectacular this season, allowing three or more goals in eight of 10 contests (5-4-1), posting a 3.10 GAA and .886 SV%. The Hurricanes enter Wednesday's contest as -158 road favorites against a Wild team that has points in five straight games (4-0-1) despite scoring two or fewer goals three times.

Frederik Andersen
Winnipeg has signed Adam Lowry to a five-year extension worth $5 million AAV ($25M total).

The Jets inked their captain to a five-year extension on Wednesday, keeping him locked up until his age 37 season in 2030-31. Lowry was on the final year of a five-year contract with a $3.25 million AAV, and was set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. The 33-year-old captain made his season debut on November 4th after he underwent hip surgery in the off-season and has three points (1G/2A) in seven games this season.

Adam Lowry
Ellis will start against the Flames on Wednesday.

Sabres' Head Coach Lindy Ruff insisted that he trusted Ellis because of the big saves he was making with the games on the line, and as such, he will roll with Ellis for the fourth time in the last week. The 25-year-old rookie netminder was excellent in his most recent outing, saving 32 of 33 shots (.970 SV%) in Buffalo's 5-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers. He has a 2.76 GAA and .914 SV% in four games this season (3-1-0). The Sabres enter Wednesday's contest as -154 home favourites against a struggling Calgary Flames team that lost 5-2 last night to the Chicago Blackhawks.

Colten Ellis
Cooley will start in Buffalo on Wednesday.

Earlier in the season, the Flames were playing Dustin Wolf on both ends of back-to-backs, but have seemingly been more comfortable lately with Cooley, who will tend the twine on Wednesday against the Buffalo Sabres. The 28-year-old Cooley has yet to record a win this season, but has been impressive in limited action, posting a 1.75 GAA and .935 SV% in five appearances (0-2-1). The Flames enter Wednesday's contest as +137 road underdogs against a Sabres team coming off a 5-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

Devin Cooley
Forsberg will start in San Jose on Thursday.

The Kings are coming off a 2-1 loss to the Washington Capitals and will turn to Forsberg to tend the twine on Thursday against a San Jose Sharks team that is 7-2-1 in their last 10 games. The 32-year-old Forsberg has been inconsistent this season, but is coming off a terrific performance against his former team, saving all 17 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season in a 1-0 win over the Ottawa Senators. Forsberg has a 2.96 GAA and .890 SV% in six games this season (3-2-1).

Anton Forsberg
Romanov has been placed on IR with an upper-body injury.

Romanov violently collided into the boards near the end of the third period after a collision with Dallas Stars forward Mikko Rantanen. Romanov needed assistance leaving the ice, and Rantanen was issued a five-minute major for boarding and a game misconduct. Islanders' Head Coach Patrick Roy did not have an update on Romanov after the game, but said he did not need to go to the hospital. That said, he was placed on Injured Reserve on Wednesday afternoon, meaning he will be out of the lineup for at least one week.

Alexander Romanov
Kuzmenko will draw back into Los Angeles' lineup in San Jose on Thursday.

Kuzmenko's ice time has dropped below eight minutes in his last two games, as he has been playing primarily on the fourth line, leading to him being a healthy scratch in the team's last three games (2-1-0). The 29-year-old Kuzmenko has seven points (3G / 4A) in 17 games this season, but has only one point (1G / 0A) in his last eight games.

Andrei Kuzmenko
Korpisalo will start in Anaheim on Wednesday.

The Bruins have played well lately, with wins in eight of their last 10 (8-2-0), but are battling through a myriad of injuries. The team will turn to Korpisalo between the pipes on Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks. The 31-year-old Korpisalo has had an up-and-down 2025-26 campaign, posting a subpar 3.35 GAA and .878 SV% in eight outings (4-4-0). The Bruins enter Wednesday's contest as +150 road underdogs against a Ducks team coming off an exciting 3-2 overtime victory over the Utah Mammoth.
