With the retirement of Andy McDonald, Roy has the opportunity to step into a top six role with the Blues.

Skille's career had a lot of potential but it still hasn't taken off with Chicago or Florida. He may have an opportunity with Columbus but don't expect anything out the gate.

Pardy is not expected to have any fantasy significance.

Khabibulin, who played for Chicago for four seasons from 2005-09, replaces backup Ray Emery, who left the Blackhawks for a $1.65 million, one-year deal with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Cooke, 34, had 21 points (eight goals, 13 assists) and 36 penalty minutes in 48 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2012-13. He led team forwards with 41 blocked shots, ranked second among team forwards in shorthanded minutes per game at 2:11, and ranked fifth on Pittsburgh with 97 hits.

Things have come full circle for the 36-year-old forward after it was reported that he was originally traded to Boston last season but ended up in Pittsburgh. The six-foot-one, 207-pound Edmonton native scored 14 goals last season and 19 assists in 44 games. In 1,232 regular season contests, the six-time all-star has 530 goals and 1,106 points and is a plus-48.

Ryder had 35 points over 46 games combined between the Dallas Stars and Montreal Canadiens in 2012-13. He reportedly was choosing between the Devils and Boston Bruins, with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2011. He has 213 goals and 431 points in 677 career games.

The 28-year-old Lapierre had four goals and six assists in 48 games with Vancouver, and appeared in four playoff games.

Koivu, 38, had 27 points in 47 games in 2012-13, his 17th in the NHL.
Johnson had no points in 10 games with the Bruins last season and only one assist in two games for the Providence Bruins of the AHL.
Hamilton had 30 goals and 18 assists (48 points) in 56 games as a member of the Toronto Marlies last season. He will head to Edmonton where former Marlies head coach Dallas Eakins is now the head coach. It has been well documented that Eakins is a big fan of Hamilton.

Regin spent the first five years of his NHL career in Ottawa where totaled 19 goals and 36 assists (55 points) in 178 games.

The 24-year-old defenseman was the 31st overall pick in 2007. He is a solid puck moving defenseman who could crack the Maple Leafs blueline next season.

Richardson is a gritty fourth-line forward that brings some toughness that new bench boss John Tortorella should love.

Schultz had three assists and was a minus-6 in 26 games for the Capitals last season. Schultz is a big-body at 6-foot-6, 227 pounds and has 75 careers points in 399 games.

Khudobin went 9-4-1 with a 2.32 GAA and .920 SV% as the Bruins backup to Tuukka Rask. He will go to Carolina and replace Dan Ellis as Cam Ward's backup.

In 530 games, Moore, who played for the Sharks in 2011-12, has 67 goals and 185 points. He sat our last season for family reasons.

Weber only appeared in six games with the Habs last season after dealing with injuries. He has 32 points in 115 career games.

Nystrom, 30, has spent the last two seasons with the Dallas Stars, posting 11 points (7g-4a), 61 penalty minutes and ranked among the League leaders in hits (122) while playing in all 48 games in 2012-13
