Korczak was the No.41 overall pick in 2019 and has appeared in just 11 career NHL games since being drafted. He spent most of last season in Henderson (AHL), where he tallied 14 points (4G / 10A) in 50 games. Korczak will replace Alex Pietrangelo, who is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Jiricek probably would have made the team out of training camp if he wasn't waiver exempt but because he was it was an easy decision to send him back to the AHL. With Zach Werenski out for at least one week, Jiricek was recalled and Eric Robinson was waived to make room for him. The 2022 No.6 overall pick had 38 points (6G / 32A) in 55 AHL games last season.

Peeke was a held off the scoresheet and was a minus-1 in 17:10 TOI in the Blue Jackets' loss to the Flyers on Thursday. Peeke will come out of the lineup to make room for top prospect David Jiricek to make his season debut.

Anderson-Dolan was a healthy scratch in the season opener but will play Saturday vs. the Hurricanes. The 24-year-old forward was in-and-out of the Kings' lineup last season, totalling just 12 points (7G / 5A) in 46 games.

Spence was a healthy scratch in the Kings' season opener, but he will suit up for Saturday's game vs. the Hurricanes. It's unclear exactly who Jordan Spence will replace in the lineup, but expect it to be Andreas Englund. Spence spent most of last year in the AHL, where he had four goals and 41 assists (45 points) in 56 games with the Ontario Reign.

Thrun had one assist and one shot in 19:29 TOI in the Sharks season-opening loss to the Golden Knights. However, he will come out of the lineup on Saturday to make room for Nikolai Knyzhov to make his season debut.

Knyzhov was a healthy scratch for the Sharks' season-opening loss to the Golden Knights but he will replace Henry Thrun in the lineup vs. Colorado. Knyzhov had one goal and no assists in 12 games with the Sharks last season.

The Oilers had to play a man short in their first game, so they waived Niemelainen to make room for Adam Erne to suit up as their 12th forward. Niemelainen spent most of the 2022-23 in the AHL, where he had seven points (2G / 5A) in 30 games with Bakersfield (AHL).

Desharnais had five PIMS and one shot on goal in the Oilers season opening loss in Vancouver. Desharnais will be scratched Saturday to make room for Mattias Ekholm (hip) to make his season debut.

Erne signed with the Oilers at the end of training camp and will make his debut on Saturday. Erne spent the last four seasons in Detroit and had 18 points (8G / 10A) in 61 games in 2022-23. He'll skat eon the fourth line with Derek Ryan and Mattias Janmark.

Maatta was a healthy scratch in the Red Wings' season-opening loss in New Jersey. With Robby Fabbri day-to-day with an injury, Maatta will suit up as the Red Wings' No.7 defenseman. He had 23 points (6G / 17A) in 78 games a season ago.

Zamula had one assist, one hit and one blocked shot in 13:49 TOI in the Flyers' season-opening win in Columbus. Today, he'll take a seat to make room for Emil Andrae to make his NHL debut.

Andrae was a healthy scratch in the Flyers' season opener but will replace Egor Zamula on the blueline on Saturday. After coming over from Sweden in 2022-23, Andrae posted six points (2G / 4A) in 10 games with Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Brink cracked the Flyers' opening night lineup and skated on the top line and top power-play unit, recording two shots in 13:16 TOI. Today, he will be replaced by fellow prospect Tyson Foerster. This is a rotation that could continue for a couple of games.

Foerster was a healthy scratch in the Flyers' season opener but will replace Bobby Brink in the lineup on Saturday. Foerster figures to replace Brink on the Flyers' top line next to Sean Couturier. He made a strong impression a season ago, posting seven points (3G / 4A) in eight games with the Flyers.

Boqvist was a healthy scratch in the Blue Jackets' season opening loss to the Flyers. Boqvist will draw into the Blue Jackets lineup vs. the Rangers, replacing Zach Werenski, who went on IR with a thigh injury. Boqvist had five goals and 19 assists in 46 games with Columbus a season ago.

Johnson was a healthy scratch in the Blue Jackets' season opening loss but will play Saturday vs. the Rangers. It's not clear who Johnson will replace in the lineup, but based on Friday's practice lines, it appears to be Jack Roslovic. Johnson had a strong rookie season, scoring 16 goals with 24 assists (40 points) in 79 games.
