Megna will be replacing Lukas Sedlak; who was placed on waivers Tuesday; as the Avalnches' fourth-line centre. Across eight NHL seasons, Megna has 10 goals and 25 points in 148 career games while playing for four different teams.

The 27-year-old will see his first bit of NHL action with the Colorado Avalanche Wednesday after getting recalled from the AHL. Blidh has scored four goals and added eight assists in his 70 career games played across six NHL seasons with the Boston Bruins.

Kral enjoyed a strong preseason before eventually getting sent down to the Toronto Marlies to start the 2022-23 season. With the announcement of Jake Muzzin being placed on the IR, Kral will get his first taste of NHL action in the veteran's absence. The 22-year-old had zero points in his first two games with the Marlies prior to being called up.



Meyers scored one goal on two shots while playing just 7:53 ATOI in Colorado's first three games of the season. He'll go to the AHL to give Martin Kaut another shot after Kaut picked up three points (2G / 1A) in his first two AHL games.

Kaut had a strong start to the AHL season, scoring two goals with one assist in his first two games. It earned him yet another NHL promotion, something he's done very little with in the past. He's had NHL stints for three straight seasons, compiling just two goals and one assist in 20 games. Ben Meyers was sent to the AHL to make room for Kaut.

The 28-year-old defenseman will head back to the AHL after putting up zero points and a -3 plus/minus in his only game with Boston while playing 11:34 TOI.


Bjork had been yet to see any NHL action with the Sabres in 2022-23 and has been sent down to the Rochester Americans (AHL). The 26-year-old has 53 points (24G/29A) through 211 career games played between Buffalo and Boston.

The 24-year-old Defenseman gets the call-up to the Los Angeles Kings as Alex Iafallo was placed on IR early Tuesday. Moverare is expected to be an extra defenseman in Nashville on Tuesday. So far in 2021-22, he has zero points through his first two games with Ontario in the AHL prior to the call-up, collecting a -3 plus/minus rating. Through 19 career NHL games, he has two assists and 15 SOG.

Vlasic missed the first three games of the season with an undisclosed injury and has been sent to the AHL with Jake McCabe set to return to the lineup soon.

Shaw was a fourth-round pick in 2017 and has appeared in three career NHL games (all in 2022). After posting 52 points (19G / 33A) in 62 AHL games last year, Shaw has one goal in two games to start this season.

With Brandon Carlo (upper-body) going on IR on Sunday, Renouf was recalled from the AHL and is expected to be in the lineup on Monday. The 28-year-old blueliner has registered three assists in just 23 NHL games since turning pro in 2016.

Simmonds cleared waivers and was assigned to the Marlies to open the season. However, with Matt Murray landing on LTIR, the Maple Leafs had enough cap space to bring him back. He skated as an extra on Sunday, so don't expect him to be in the lineup vs. the Coyotes on Monday.

Robertson had a terrific preseason but was sent down because he was waiver exempt and the Maple Leafs were in a cap crunch. With Matt Murray landing on LTIR, the Maple Leafs gained some cap flexibility and wasted no time bringing Robertson back.
