Ducks’ Ryan Strome activated off IR; Radko Gudas placed on IR

The Anaheim Ducks have activated forward Ryan Strome off injured reserve, while defenseman Radko Gudas has been placed on IR with a lower-body injury, according to The Hockey News reporter Derek Lee.
Per the NHL media site, Ryan Strome (upper-body) has been activated from injured reserve.

Strome will be eligible to make his 2025-26 regular-season debut Sunday night when the Ducks host the Winnipeg Jets. The 32-year-old last saw game action in the preseason, playing 14:44 of ice time during the team’s Oct. 4 contest against the Los Angeles Kings.
Last season, Strome played a full 82-game campaign, where he finished with 10 goals and 31 assists for 41 points. The Mississauga, Ont., native is in the fourth year of a five-year, $25-million contract signed with Anaheim ahead of the 2022-23 season. In 243 games with the Ducks, Strome has 36 goals and 87 assists for 123 points.
Now in his 13th NHL season, Strome, who was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, has recorded 166 goals and 314 assists for 480 points in 864 career regular-season games with the Ducks, New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers and New York Islanders.
As for Gudas, the 35-year-old blueliner has two assists and is averaging 15:35 of ice time in seven games in 2025-26. Now in his third season with Anaheim, the Czech native has seven goals and 29 assists for 36 points in 154 regular-season games.
Ahead of the 2024-25 season, the Ducks Gudas was named the ninth captain in franchise history.
In 14 NHL seasons, Gudas has recorded 40 goals and 160 assists for 200 points in 836 career regular-season games with the Ducks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Washington Capitals, Florida Panthers and Philadelphia Flyers.
