Bruins place Viktor Arvidsson, Casey Mittelstadt on injured reserve

The Boston Bruins announced Monday that forwards Viktor Arvidsson and Casey Mittelstadt have been placed on injured reserve, while defenseman Jordan Harris has been placed on long-term injured reserve.

In a corresponding move, Boston has recalled forwards Matej Blumel and Riley Tufte from their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins.
Arvidsson, 32, has six goals and four assists for 10 points through 20 games this season. Through 633 NHL regular-season games, Arvisson has scored 200 goals and recorded 199 assists for 399 points with the Bruins, Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings and Nashville Predators.
As for Mittelstadt, the 26-year-old has four goals and five assists for nine points in 15 games. Taken No. 8 overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, he’s posted 85 goals and 160 assists for 245 points in 453 career regular-season games with Boston, Colorado Avalanche and Buffalo Sabres.
Meanwhile, Harris has a goal and assist for two points in five games with Boston in 2025-26. He’s recorded 10 goals and 29 assists for 39 points in 169 career regular-season games with the Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets and Montreal Canadiens.
The Bruins are 12-8-0 with 24 points, leading the Atlantic Division after 20 games. David Pastrnak has 26 points through 11 goals and 15 assists, which leads the club in both assists and points. Last week, the forward scored his 400th career NHL regular-season goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He became the sixth Bruin in franchise history to reach the 400-goal mark.
Morgan Geekie leads the Bruins with 12 goals, while Charlie McAvoy has the most points among defenders with 14 points (14 assists).
Boston’s next game is Monday night at home against the Carolina Hurricanes. They’ll follow that with three straight games on the west coast against the NHL’s California-based teams.
