Oilers’ Tristan Jarry out week-to-week with lower-body injury

The Edmonton Oilers will be without goaltender Tristan Jarry for the next few weeks, head coach Kris Knoblauch told reporters during his pre-game media availability ahead of Sunday’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights.
At his availability Knoblauch says Jarry will be a few weeks.
The reveal comes just days after the team placed Jarry on Injured Reserve, recalling Connor Ingram from their AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors.
Jarry was injured in last Thursday’s 3-1 win over the Boston Bruins. Late in the second period, he appeared to sustain a lower-body injury. He was removed from the game with Calvin Pickard taking his spot in the crease.
In 17 games this season, Jarry is 12-3-1 with a .906 save percentage (SV%) and 2.76 goals against average (GAA). He was acquired in a trade with a Pittsburgh Penguins just over a week ago, with the Oilers sending Stuart Skinner, defenseman Brett Kulak and a 2029 second-round draft pick to the Penguins in exchange for Jarry and forward Sam Poulin.
Now in his 10th NHL season, Jarry, born in Surrey, B.C., is 100-32-22 with a .909 SV% and 2.75 GAA. He also has a 2-6 record with an .891 SV% and 3.00 GAA in eight career Stanley Cup Playoff games.
He also appeared in parts of five AHL seasons, posting an 83-53-20 record with a .914 SV% and 2.56 GAA.
Before turning professional, Jarry, a 2013 second-round pick, spent four seasons in the Western Hockey League, where he posted a 93-49-10 record with a .913 SV% and 2.37 GAA in 159 career games. He helped the Edmonton Oil Kings win two WHL Championships in 2012 and 2014, as well as a Memorial Cup championship in 2014.
Going into Sunday night, the Oilers were 17-13-6 with 40 points, third in the Pacific Division and sixth in the Western Conference.
