The Philadelphia Flyers have announced that they’ve signed forward Jack Studnicka and defenseman Cam Dineen to two-year, two-way contracts.

The cap hit of Studnicka’s contract is not confirmed, but with it being a two-way contract, it can be no lower than the league minimum salary of $850,000, and no higher than the entry-level contract maximum salary of $1.025 million. Other details about the contract, including any bonuses or AHL salary information, are also not confirmed.

Studnicka was an unrestricted free agent after the conclusion of his one-year contract at the league minimum salary of $775,000 with the Florida Panthers. Injuries on the Panthers got him some NHL action for the first time in two seasons, where he went pointless in 19 games. He also had 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points in 41 games with the Panthers’ AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.

The cap hit of Dineen’s contract is not confirmed, but with it also being a two-way contract, the salary will also fall between $850,000 and $1.025 million. Other details about the contract, including any bonuses or AHL salary information, are also not confirmed.

Dineen was an unrestricted free agent after the conclusion of his two-year contract at the league minimum salary of $775,000 with the Edmonton Oilers. Over four seasons with the Oilers, Dineen had only four NHL games, all coming in the 2024-25 season, where he went pointless. Last season saw him get three goals and 18 assists for 21 points in 40 games with the Oilers’ AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors.

The Flyers have had an active summer, as they’ve extended Dan Vladar and Tyson Foerster, acquired Joseph Woll via trade, dealt Garnet Hathaway and Emil Andrae, and signed Noel Acciari. Philadelphia still has $29,881,250 in cap space according to PuckPedia with four restricted free agents to re-sign, highlighted by Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale.
