Kraken’s Ryan Lindgren leaves game with upper-body injury

The Seattle Kraken announced on social media that defenseman Ryan Lindgren left Tuesday’s game against the Vegas Golden Knights with an upper-body injury and would not return.
Lindgren appeared to suffer the injury just 15 seconds into the game after taking a hit from behind along the boards from Golden Knights’ forward Marc Gatcomb.
The Kraken blueliner stayed in the game but did not come back out for the second period. He finished the night with six shifts and 3:57 of ice time.
Lindgren, 28, had two goals and seven assists for nine points and 60 penalty minutes, averaging 18:20 of ice time in 76 games last season. Through nine NHL campaigns, he has 16 goals and 95 assists for 111 points and 326 penalty minutes, averaging 18:56 of ice time in 484 regular-season games with Seattle, the Colorado Avalanche and New York Rangers.
He’s also appeared in 50 career Stanley Cup Playoff games, where he’s recorded three goals and 11 assists for 14 points, averaging 20:29 of ice time.
The Burnsville, Minn., native was taken in the second round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins. He spent two seasons playing college hockey at the University of Minnesota, where he scored three goals and added 13 assists for 16 points and 116 penalty minutes in 67 career NCAA games.
Going into Tuesday’s night, the Kraken are 2-1-0 through three games with a plus-eight goal differential.
