Sceptres’ Renata Fast, Allie Munroe out day-to-day

The Toronto Sceptres announced Saturday that defenders Renata Fast and Allie Munroe are day-to-day with lower-body injuries, while also announcing the signing of defender Hanna Baskin to a 10-day contract.

The team revealed the news just hours before the team’s Saturday afternoon road game against the Montreal Victoire.

Munroe left Tuesday’s game against the Ottawa Charge after just 4:10 of ice time. Through seven games this season, the 28-year-old blueliner recorded two assists while averaging 16:40 of ice time. The Charge won 4-3 in overtime.

Now through three PWHL seasons, Munroe, a 2023 ninth-round pick, has two goals and eight assists for 10 points in 60 career regular-season games.

As for Fast, she has one assist in four games. Now in her third PWHL season, she has nine goals and 27 assists for 36 points in 58 regular-season games. She was named 2024-25 PWHL Defender of the Year.

As for Baskin, the 22-year-old blueliner was taken by the Sceptres in the sixth round of the 2025 PWHL Draft. She spent last season as an assistant captain for the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where she recorded one goal and 21 assists for 22 points. In four NCAA seasons, she had seven goals and 48 assists for 55 points.

Going into Saturday’s game, Toronto is 3-0-2-2 with 11 points, third the PWHL. Forwards Daryl Watts and Jesse Compher are tied for the team lead in goals and points with two and four, respectively.

After they face the Victoire, the Sceptres head back to Toronto for a three-game home trip, hosting the Minnesota Frost next Tuesday, the Seattle Kraken next Saturday then the New York Sirens on Jan. 6.
