Flanagan finished the 2025-26 season with two goals and five assists for seven points, averaging 21:41 of ice time per game. Taken by the Sceptres in the sixth round of the inaugural PWHL Draft, the Burlington, Mass., native has eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points in 84 career regular-season games. She is one of the few players in the league’s three-year history to never miss a game.
Flanagan spent two years with the PHF’s Boston Pride, scoring three goals and 17 assists for 20 points across those two seasons. She was named Defender of the Year in her last season, and in 2021-22, she helped the Pride win an Isobel Cup championship.
She spent her college career with Boston College, helping the team win back-to-back Hockey East championships in 2016 and 2017. She took a leave for the 2017-18 season so she could train with the U.S. Olympic team, helping them win a gold medal at PyeongChang 2018. When she returned for her senior season, she was named co-captain.
Last week, Toronto re-signed defender Renata Fast to a three-year contract and goaltender Raygan Kirk to a three-year deal. Along with defender Ella Shelton, they have used their three protections through phase one of the PWHL expansion process.
On Wednesday, the club announced Pascal Rheaume would become the second head coach in franchise history, taking over for Troy Ryan, who stepped down to join PWHL San Jose as both their head coach and general manager.
