Connor Ingram highlights first NHL waiver group of 2025-26

It’s that time of year again. The 2025-26 waiver wire is up and running.
On Thursday, seven players were placed on waivers across the National Hockey League, making them available to the other 31 teams in the league.
Among the notable names on the wire is Utah Mammoth goaltender Connor Ingram. The news came out last week that the team had intentions of placing the veteran netminder on waivers. It comes just a few weeks after Ingram was cleared to rejoin the Mammoth by the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program, which Ingram had been in since March.
Due to his absence, Ingram was limited to just 22 games with the team last year, posting a 9-8-4 record, with a 3.27 goals-against average and a .882 save percentage. IT came after a promising 2023-24 season, in which the Saskatoon native delivered the best performance of his young career. In 50 games, Ingram went 23-21-3, with a 2.91 GAA, a .907 SV% and six shutouts, which was tied for the league lead.
The Ottawa Senators offloaded five players on Thursday, all with the purpose of joining their American Hockey League affiliate, the Belleville Senators. Among the names is forward Xavier Bourgault. The former Edmonton Oilers prospect came to the Sens in a trade in July 2024, signing a new one-year, two-way contract this past offseason.
Bourgault has spent his entire career in the AHL, playing two years with the Bakersfield Condors before finding a home in Belleville. Last season, he scored 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points. In 182 AHL games, the L’Islet, Que. native has notched 33 goals and 47 assists for 80 points.
The only other team active on waivers was the Philadelphia Flyers, who placed forward Oscar Eklind on the wire. The 27-year-old re-signed with the franchise for another year this summer after his first pro season in North America. With the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms, Eklind scored five goals and 17 assists for 22 points in 64 games.
Here’s the full list of players who were put on the wire:
Ottawa Senators: Wyatt Bongiovanni, Xavier Bourgault, Cameron Crotty, Garrett Pilon, Hunter Shepard
Philadelphia Flyers: Oscar Eklind
Utah Mammoth: Connor Ingram
Any player who clears waivers on Friday will be eligible to join their AHL teams.
