The Utah Mammoth made it official on Monday, announcing that head coach Andre Tourigny has signed a multi-year contract extension.

On top of that, the team also announced that assistant coach Blaine Forsythe has received a multi-year contract, while the team has hired Adam Foote as another assistant, agreeing to a multi-year deal as well.

It was originally reported last week that Tourigny had signed a contract extension that would carry through the 2027-28 campaign. The team didn’t release details of his new contract in its release. In a statement, Tourigny noted how excited he is to continue working with the Mammoth.

“I am grateful to the organization and feel fortunate to work alongside such an exceptional coaching staff and dedicated group of players,” Tourigny said. “Whose collective hard work and commitment to each other have fostered a culture we can be proud of. My family and I love being in Utah and look forward to deepening our roots here.”

Tourigny has been behind the bench for the franchise dating back to its final three seasons, known as the Arizona Coyotes. The Quebec native has been an integral part in not only helping Utah power through the transition, but also helping the Mammoth reach success in short succession since moving to Salt Lake City.

After a promising first season in its new home, the team posted a 43-33-6 record during the 2025-26 campaign, clinching the first Wild Card spot in the Western Conference. The team gave the Pacific Division champion Vegas Golden Knights a run for their money, but ultimately lost in six games.

In two seasons in Utah, the 52-year-old has guided the team to an 81-64-19 record, with the franchise going  170-195-45 under Tourigny dating back to its days in Arizona.

Foote recently became available after he was fired as head coach of the Vancouver Canucks. After serving under Rick Tocchet for a couple of seasons, Foote was promoted to the head job this year, but things didn’t quite go to plan. Thanks to a variety of on and off-ice issues, the team posted an abysmal record of 25-49-8, finishing last in the NHL.
