The Flyers have activated Matt Read (upper-body) off of IR.
Read has missed the last 11 games with an upper-body injury, but will return to the lineup tonight in Anaheim. Read has six goals and four assists (10 points) in 27 games this season. His return means that Taylor Leier will be returning to Lehigh Valley (AHL).
The Flyers have placed Matt Read (upper-body) on injured reserve.
Read was expected to miss one month with an upper-body injury, so moving him to IR was simply a formality to create a roster spot for the Flyers to activate fourth line centre Boyd Gordon.

Read was injured during Sunday’s win over the Predators when he was hit into the net by Filip Forsberg. Read will miss approximately one month and his injury has left to the Flyers recalling Taylor Leier from Lehigh Valley (AHL)—he is expected to replace Read on Tuesday.
Read will be a healthy scratch on Thursday.
Read has been held off of the score sheet for the last three games and will come out of the lineup for R.J Umberger tonight. Read has just 18 points (9G / 9A) in 51 games this season.
Read will play on the Flyers top-line on Wednesday.
