Copp left Tuesday's game with a lower-body injury and will not play on Wednesday. Some other regulars will also sit out on Wednesday, so it's unclear if Copp's injury is serious or if this is a precaution.


Copp was hurt against the Islanders last Thursday after scoring a first period hat-trick. He missed Saturday's game in Boston but was on the ice for Monday's practice and will be a game-time decision on Tuesday. Since joining the Rangers at the trade deadline, Copp has scored eight goals with 10 assists (18 points) in 15 games.

Copp scored a hat-trick in the first period but then left with a lower-body injury against the Islanders on Thursday and is not expected to play Saturday in Boston. With both Copp and Filip Chytil (undisclosed) not likely to be available, look for two of Jonny Brodzinski, Greg McKegg and/or Julien Gauthier to draw into the lineup.

Copp was acquired from the Jets on Monday and will start on a line with Filip Chytil and Dryden Hunt. Copp has scored 13 goals with 22 assists (35 points) in 56 games this season.


Copp missed Tuesday's game vs. the Golden Knights but will play Friday vs. the Bruins. Copp, who has scored 13 goals with 19 assists (32 points) in 54 games this season, will be back on the third line with Adam Lowry and Evgeny Svechnikov.


Copp was banged up late in Sunday's game in St. Louis and was not on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate. Copp will be a game-time decision and will be replaced by Adam Brooks if he's unable to go.

Copp missed six games with a concussion but skated on the third line in the Jets' morning skate and is expected to play vs. the Canadiens. Copp has scored 12 goals with 16 assists (28 points) in 47 games this season but has no points in his last seven games.

Copp was scratched from the lineup on Thursday and will likely miss Saturday's game vs. the Oilers. The Jets also lost Cole Perfetti in yesterday's game, so their depth will be tested for a few games.



Copp was missing from Thursday's practice and will be held out of the season finale on Friday. With Copp out tomorrow, Dominic Toninato will move up to the third line but expect Copp to reclaim that role in Game 1 vs. the Oilers.

Copp has missed the last eight games with an upper-body injury but was back at practice on Sunday and will play Monday in Montreal. Copp, who will skate with Adam Lowry and Mathieu Perreault, has five goals and nine assists (14 points) in 34 games this season.

Winnipeg head coach Paul Maurice announced on Wednesday that Copp is week-to-week and isn't expected to play before the Christmas break, so his move to IR opens up a roster spot for Mason Appleton to be called-up from Manitoba (AHL).

Copp was awarded a $2.28M AAV contract by an independent arbitrator and is signed through the 2021 season. Copp missed 13 games last year but had a career-high 11 goals to go along with 14 assists while ranking third among Jets forwards in SH TOI/GM (1:22).

Copp has missed the last 10 games with an upper-body injury but is set to play Thursday vs. the Flames. Copp has just two goals and two assists (four points) in 23 games this season.
