DeAngelo was a healthy scratch on Saturday but will replace Frederik Claesson tonight vs. the Senators. DeAngelo has played very well this season, picking up eight points (2G / 6A) and 27 shots while playing 19:11 TOI/gm in 15 games.

DeAngelo has been one of the Rangers best defensemen at times this season, but comes out of the lineup as a healthy scratch frequently. Overall, he has totalled eight points (2G / 6A) in 15 games this season.

DeAngelo was forced to leave Monday’s game vs. the Hurricanes with what ended up being a sprained ankle. DeAngelo’s 3-4 week timetable effectively ends his 2017-18 season with eight assists and a minus-18 rating in 32 games. Ryan Sproul was recalled from Hartford (AHL) and he is expected to replace DeAngelo on Wednesday.

DeAngelo has picked up 13 points (2G / 11A) in 29 games with Hartford this season and returns to the Rangers where he had one assist in eight games earlier this year. DeAngelo’s call-up suggests he replace with Steven Kampfer or Brendan Smith in Saturday’s lineup while Marc Staal works back from a hip flexor injury.




DeAngelo, 21, was acquired from Tampa Bay this summer and has had a great start to the year with Tucson, posting seven points (1G / 6A) in eight games. The former first round pick (19th overall in 2014) has never appeared in an NHL game, but could make his NHL debut this week.
