Stralman will not play in the Lightning’s first game of a five-game road-trip and head coach Jon Cooper would not commit to Stralman playing on the trip, and added that he will likely miss the first three games.
Tyutin has missed the last four games with a groin injury but will play in Chicago on Thursday. Tyutin has record two assists in his first four games with the Avalanche.
Tyutin will miss Saturday’s game in Florida because of a groin injury. Tyutin will be replaced by Eric Gelinas, who will be making his season debut. Consider Tyutin day-to-day.
Tyutin, 32, has had some strong offensive years during his 12-year career, but he is coming off of his worst season, having recorded just three points (1G / 2A) in 61 games with the Blue Jackets. He was bought out by Columbus, but brings a lot of experience to a relatively young Avalanche blueline.
Stralman missed Tuesday’s game with an illness, but could be back in the lineup on Friday. He is listed as a game-time decision, so monitor his status when the Lightning hit the ice for warmups at 7:00 p.m. ET.
