Wahlberg was drafted 39th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and has yet to play an NHL game. The 20-year-old Swedish forward has 25 points (6G / 19A) in 47 games with the Rochester Americans (AHL) this season.
