Buffalo has acquired Bennett MacArthur and Joshua Jagger from Pittsburgh for Colton Poolman and future considerations.

MacArthur is an undrafted 23-year-old forward that has yet to play an NHL game. He has spent most of the past three seasons in the ECHL, including scoring seven points (3G / 4A) in 28 games with the Wheeling Nailers this season.

Pittsburgh has acquired Bennett MacArthur from Tampa Bay for Lukas Svejkovsky.

Pittsburgh completed a minor league transaction to kick off the offseason by trading Lukas Svejkovsky to Tampa Bay for Bennett MacArthur. The 23-year-old spent the majority of the 2023-24 season with the Allen Americans (ECHL) and had 10 goals and 29 points in 43 games played.

Signing

The Lightning have signed Bennett MacArthur to a three-year, entry-level contract.

MacArthur is an undrafted free agent out of the QMJHL. MacArthur is in his third QMJHL season and has scored 25 goals with 18 assists (43 points) in 26 games with Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
