Brenden Morrow News

Brenden Morrow (knee) went through a full practice today. "He's very close to a full go," said Gulutzan. "We're not going to play him tomorrow because it is his first full practice today. We'd rather let him practice three or four more days. We're not worried about chemistry with him and Ribby (Mike Ribeiro)."

Excellent news as we expected Morrow to miss a few games. Last season the top line left wing potted 33 goals and 56 points. Expect a similar output mixed with 60+ PIM this season if he stays healthy.

Stars captain Brenden Morrow, who has not been practicing since tweaking a knee in the preseason opener against Montreal, is skating. “He’s going to be close. It’s up to Brenden now,” said Stars coach Glen Gulutzan. “He skated [Wednesday] and said he was pretty good.” Still, Gulutzan said there is no need to rush Morrow back into preseason action with the season opener still more than a week away.

Doesn't sound like the team is overly concerned with him missing the season opener. Last season the top line left wing potted 33 goals and 56 points. Expect a similar output mixed with 60+ PIM this season if he stays healthy.

Gulutzan said the Stars also will be cautious with Brenden Morrow, who tweaked a knee in Tuesday night's game against Montreal.

Again just precautionary at this point in the preseason. Morrow scored 33 goals and 56 points while adding 76 PIM. Look for a similar season as he mans the top line with Michael Ryder and Mike Ribeiro.
