The Hurricanes have activated Brett Pesce (upper-body) from IR; expected to return tonight in Pittsburgh.
Pesce has missed the last five games with an upper-body injury but it looks like he’ll be back in tonight. Pesce is still searching for his first goal of the season but has nine assists in 39 games.

Pesce (concussion) is expected to return to the Hurricanes blueline on Friday.

Pesce was hit by a puck in Tuesday’s practice and the Hurricanes revealed on Wednesday that he suffered a concussion and will miss at least two games. With Pesce out, Klas Dahlbeck will draw into the lineup and play with Jaccob Slavin.

Pesce was banged up at Tuesday’s practice and was held off of the ice on Wednesday, clouding his status for Thursday’s game in Colorado. With Pesce not on the ice, Klas Dahlbeck skated with Jaccob Slavin.
Pesce (illness) will be a game-time decision on Friday.
Pesce missed the Hurricanes’ morning skate and is listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s game. If Pesce can’t play, expect Matt Tennyson to skate with Jaccob Slavin and for Klas Dahlbeck to draw into the lineup.

There is no word as to what is ailing Pesce, but head coach Bill Peters said that Pesce will be a game-time decision tonight. If Pesce can't play, Ryan Murphy will replace him in the lineup.

Pesce suffered a lower-body injury last Tuesday and is not ready to go, so he’s been placed on IR. With Pesce still sidelined, the Hurricanes have recalled Ryan Murphy from Charlotte (AHL).
