Stafford was acquired by the Bruins on Wednesday, but isn’t going to make his Bruins’ debut until Saturday at the earliest.
The Bruins have acquired Drew Stafford from the Jets for a conditional 6th Round Pick.
Stafford’s best offensive years are behind him, but he brings a little added scoring depth to the Bruins’ bottom-6. Stafford has played a reduced role in Winnipeg this season and tallied just 13 points (4G / 9A) in 40 games.

Stafford (upper-body) is expected to return to the Jets’ lineup on Wednesday.
Stafford has been out since October 25th, but is expected to draw back into the lineup on Wednesday. The veteran winger took part in Tuesday’s practice and Wednesday’s morning skate on a line with Nic Petan and Brandon Tanev. He has collected a single assist in six games this season.

Stafford left Monday’s preseason game with an upper-body injury and did not return.
Jets’ head coach Paul Maurice said that Stafford will undergo tests on Tuesday and said he doesn’t believe it’s overly serious. Maurice added that Stafford is day-to-day for now, but it doesn’t sound like he will miss significant time.

Stafford has been suspended for one game for his high sticking infraction on Saturday.
Stafford caught Nick Holden with a high stick on Saturday and will miss Tuesday’s game in St. Louis after the NHL suspended him for one game. With Stafford out, look for Anthony Peluso to get back into the lineup.
