Schwartz underwent surgery for a fractured ankle and will miss 12 weeks.

Schwartz was injured in practice on Friday and will now miss 12 weeks or three months of time. This timetable would put Schwartz out until late-January which would likely see him miss 40 games. This is a terrible break for the Blues, who will likely move Robby Fabbri into the top six when he is healthy and could be forced to move some blueline depth to pick up a forward.

Schwartz (leg) went to the hospital for evaluation; will be updated on Saturday.

After being helped off of the ice at practice this afternoon, Schwartz was taken to the hospital to have his leg examined. This obviously is not good news for Schwartz or the Blues, who are expected to give a full update on Saturday morning. With Schwartz out and Robby Fabbri still sidelined, the Blues have recalled Ty Rattie from Chicago (AHL).

Schwartz (lower-body) had to be helped off of the ice at practice.

Schwartz reportedly had to be helped off of the ice by his teammates after crashing legs-first into the net. We saw Logan Couture suffer a serious injury in practice last week and it looks like Schwartz might be the latest victim of practice injuries. Stay tuned, but it doesn’t look good for Schwartz.

The Blues have sent Colin Fraser back to Chicago (AHL).

The Blues recalled Fraser for Friday’s game so that he could play vs. his former team in Los Angeles. Fraser was with the Kings from 2011-2014. He did not record a point and was a minus-1 in the contest. He gets sent back to the AHL to make room for Jaden Schwartz to be activated from IR.

The Blues have activated Jaden Schwartz (foot) from IR.

Schwartz has missed the last seven games with a right foot injury, but will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Sharks. To make room for Schwartz, the Blues have assigned Colin Fraser to Chicago (AHL). Schwartz has 11 goals and 16 assists (27 points) in 31 games this season.

Schwartz (foot) returned to practice on Thursday; has been upgraded to day-to-day.

Schwartz, who injured his right foot blocking a shot on Dec. 16 in LA, has been upgraded from week-to-week to day-to-day. Schwartz will travel with the team on their west coast road-trip and could play this weekend if all goes well. In 31 games this season, he has 11 goals and 16 assists (27 points).

Jaden Schwartz
The Blues signed Jaden Schwartz to a two-year, $4.7 million deal.

Schwartz, 22, had 25 goals and 31 assists (56 points) in 80 games in his second full season with the Blues. The 2010 14th overall pick took a massive step forward last season and should be a clutch fantasy contributor this season. It took the Blues awhile to get him signed, but he will get a lot of time in training camp to get ready for the season.

Schwartz (undisclosed) appears to be ready to return the lineup tonight.

Schwartz missed the last two games but is skating on the Blues' top line with Alex Steen and T.J Oshie this morning. His participation in line-rushes during the morning skate suggests that he is back in. Schwartz has eight goals and 14 assists (22 points) in 31 games. With David Backes out Schwartz has a great shot on the top-line tonight vs. Montreal.

Jaden Schwartz
Schwartz is not on the ice for the Blues this morning and could be out tonight.

There is no word on what is ailing Schwartz but his absence from the morning skate suggests that he will not be in the lineup tonight against the Senators. Schwartz has been hot as of late posting five goals and seven assists in his last 12 games.
