Hansen will draw back into the Sharks lineup on Wednesday.

Hansen has been a healthy scratch for the last six games but will draw back in tonight vs. the Lightning—he takes Kevin Labanc's spot in the lineup. Hansen has just one assist in seven games this season.

Hansen recorded his first assist of the season on Saturday, but will come out of the lineup tonight in New York. Hansen’s one-point in seven games is a big disappointment for the Sharks, so he will be replaced by Joel Ward tonight.

Hansen left Saturday’s game in the third period and did not return. There is no word how Hansen suffered the injury, but he remains questionable for tonight’s game in Dallas. Hansen has just one assist in six games with the Sharks despite playing on the top line with Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski.

The Sharks acquired Jannik Hansen from the Canucks for Nikolay Goldobin and a conditional 2017 4th Round Pick.

Hansen spent the first nine and a half seasons of his NHL career with the Canucks after being drafted by them in 2004. Hansen had a career-high 22 goals last year, but has been hampered by injuries this season—he has 13 points (6G / 7A) in 28 games and heads to San Jose where he will likely land a bottom-6 role.

Hansen has been out since December 22nd, but could return on Saturday vs. the Wild. Hansen rotated in on Brandon Sutter’s line in Wednesday’s practice and has nine points (5G / 4A) in 18 games this season.

Hansen will miss 4-6 weeks with a knee injury.

Hansen missed the Canucks final game before the Christmas break and will miss at least one month with a knee injury that he suffered last Thursday. Hansen previously missed 16 games this season and the injury bug has bit the Canucks’ top-line winger yet again.

The Maple Leafs have placed Jannik Hansen (undisclosed) on injured reserve.

Hansen was injured on a hit during the Canucks’ physical contest in Toronto on Saturday. Hansen’s move to IR means that he will miss at least the next three games with an undisclosed injury. Hansen had been playing with the Sedin Twins, so his injury should see Loui Eriksson move back up.
