Beagle is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
Beagle played just 3:22 on Sunday before leaving the game with an undisclosed upper-body injury. Beagle missed Monday’s game and the Capitals recalling Travis Boyd on Tuesday suggests the Beagle won’t play on Thursday.
Beagle (illness) will not play on Tuesday.

Beagle has been out since December 30th, but will return this afternoon in Chicago. He is a fourth liner and a third liner on his best days, but has just 12 points (6G / 6A) in 36 games this season and is not a legitimate fantasy commodity.
Beagle (upper-body) will undergo surgery and is out indefinitely.
Beagle will be out for an “extended period of time” because whatever his upper-body ailment is, requires surgery. Beagle will be moved to IR so the Capitals can recall a forward from Hershey (AHL).

Beagle reaggravated an old injury in Tuesday’s morning skate and is listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s contest. If Beagle is unable to play, look for Michael Latta to be bumped up to the third line and for Chandler Stephenson to get back into the lineup.
The Capitals have re-signed Jay Beagle to a three-year deal worth $5.25M.
