Hishon had one assist in three NHL playoff games in 2013-14 and 32 points (14G / 18A) in 50 games with Lake Erie this season. The 23-year-old, former first round pick (17th overall in 2010) will centre the Avs’ fourth line with Marc-Andre Cliche and Cody McLeod on his flanks.
Hishon, 23, was a first round pick (17th overall) in 2010. He is expected to make his NHL debut tonight after scoring 14 goals and 18 assists (32 points) in 50 games with Lake Erie this season.
Hishon did not play any regular season games for the Avalanche this season, but had 10 goals and 14 assists (24 points) in 50 games with Lake Erie (AHL). He was a healthy scratch in game 6 after playing in games 4 and 5. He is averaging seven minutes a night through his first two playoff games, but could play more tonight as he suits up on the third line with Max Talbot Jamie McGinn.
Hishon would be playing in his first career NHL game if Roy does insert him into the lineup.
As Dater notes, there was an outside shot Hishon made the roster this season. At this point, dynasty owners can only hope for a speedy recovery that does not hinder his development.
