As expected, the Ducks bring Gibson back to the NHL after spending the weekend getting some playing time with Norfolk. He went 1-1-0 with a 3.05 GAA and .902 SV% in two AHL starts, but with no back-to-backs this week and Freddie Andersen playing great, there is no telling when his next start might be.
Gibson struggled in his season debut and watched Frederik Andersen start the following two games. However, he is not going down to stay. He will start two AHL games over the weekend and then return to the Ducks next week. So that means Andersen will get the crease this weekend while Gibson refines his game in the AHL. Do not panic on Gibson, but jump on Andersen if available for the weekend.

The 20-year-old will make the biggest start of his young NHL career in game 7 tonight. The edge in goal has to go to the Kings, who have veteran Jonathan Quick who is 2-0 with a .969 SV% in two career game 7 starts.

The 20-year-old has staked his claim to the Ducks crease and he will look to continue his winning streak tonight and punch Anaheim's ticket into the Western Conference Finals vs. Chicago.

He was 3-0 with a 1.33 GAA and .954 SV% with the Ducks towards the end of the regular season; along with a 4-2 record, 1.45 GAA and .955 in six AHL playoff starts with the Norfolk Admirals.
Frederik Andersen was injured in Thursday's game 3, so Gibson has been recalled incase Andersen can't play on Saturday. Gibson was an outstanding 3-0-0 with a 1.33 GAA and .954 SV% in three starts with the Ducks towards the end of the season. If Andersen is unable to play, it seems unlikely that the Ducks would go with Gibson over veteran Jonas Hiller, but you never know.
